3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, 500ml from Stan’s Nisa, Llangollen, Wales. Ruby amber with white head. This was a cut above the other bottled Tomos Watkin beers I have had recently, it is smooth, malty with a cooked caramel sweetness but with the advantage of a light, earthy hop note for some balance. Good depth, slightly honeyed in character. Reasonable.

500ml bottle (ChrisO’s post-RBESG, Friday)
Pure barley malt aroma, bang on what we had at the Aizpute barley malting. Pleasant carbonation. Full body - so big on the grains. No particular hops at all.
