Bottled. A red-amber beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of fruit and light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and fruit, as well as light notes of flowery hops. The finish is quite bitter.

It is nice, slightly hazy, dark amber and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has notes of fruity hops, roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel, fruit and light citrus and it ends on a dry note. It has a very nice full body and it is very well-balanced, tasty indeed!

Red amber rocky pour fizzing steadily. But it is in a weizen. Nose warms up with rose, blackcurrant, choc with orange oil, floral tangy hops and malt nuttiness in equal measure. Clinging woolly froth, nibble of Terrys, silky milk choc malts drying into toasty, resiny bitterness. Enjoyable, balanced and surprisingly festive.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2011 Oct, 2008
500ml bottle from local Spar in Swansea. A crude forced carbonation that’s rather sharp and acidic like a cheap lager. Nasty aroma of sheep shit and straw. This doesn’t remind me at all of the rather nice beer I had from the cask at Cayo Arms in Cardiff a few years ago. This is plain, thin and lacking in character. A fairly typical British bottled bitter - well, no, this is worse than average. Stale, cardboardy hops. Stewed gluey vegetable water. Burnt rubber and sugar. Not that nice really - but drinkable enough I suppose. [2.4]
Aug, 2011
500ml unfiltered bottled from Beers of Europe. Big foam. Initially pleasant toffee accented malt with lively citric hops from America, finished with some earthy, dusty British hops. Then some dirty, unwashed notes come in. Some cardboard flavours. Some watery yeasty notes. There’s promise here, but the beer cannot deliver on that promise due to an inadequate bottling process.
