COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A copper coloured beer with the aroma of honey. It has a full and smooth flavour and a soft, flowing aftertaste.

An authentic abbey ale
The age-old tradition of the White Canons of Tongerlo lives on in this officially recognised Belgian abbey ale.

Re-fermented in the bottle
Re-fermentation in the bottle gives the beer a more intense taste and aroma as well as a longer shelf life.

Sugary yeast aroma profile, notes of citric and sweet fruits. Hazy orange, white cap of head. Spicy and metallic sweetness, almost tart or salty. Seafoam body, a touch of hop kick in an otherwise crushable beer. Decent for this style, however, not worth the quad ale pricing. Best by 6/3/15 and imported by MHW, Manhasset NY.

A mid orange coloured beer with a frothy white head. A light aroma of malt, with spice, clove in particular and a hint of tropical fruit. Dry mouthfeel. A tart fruit flavour to start, pithy citrus fruit, then a slightly sweeter banana-led tropical fruit flavour. The taste is rounded off with a clove candy taste, which lasts into the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Visited Brussels and Bruges n saw it was voted best beer in the world for 2014. So of course I had to try it! A bit disappointed, tried it at a bar then gave it another try on a 1L bottle. Just too hoppy n light to be an abbey beer. Taste more like a Hefeweizen. Of course better than an American beer!

Butelka 0,33l pite w domu. Kolor miedziany z ładną pianą, niestety szybko znikającą, aromat bananowy z drożdżami. W smaku podobnie dochodzą owocowe posmaki. Mocno nagazowane.

Golden pour from draft at fountainhead. Tons of sticky white head. A lil bubblegum and much spice. Not bad but wouldn’t seek this out again

Small sample from tap. Clear golden color. Creamy, rocky white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: fruit (apricot), caramel malt. Retronasal: caramel malt, , light herbs, light grain. Flavor is light sweet, light grainish sourness. Medium bodied. Finishes slightly herbal, moderate bitter. Decent, but uninspiring.

330ml bottle. Hazy copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready, yeast, banana, light herb/spice. Taste is bready, banana, fruit, spice, wheat, bittersweet. Carbonation seems soft in the glass but stronger on the palate, pushes the flavours around nicely.
