I liked this. Good tasty malt body. Some interesting sour fruit notes at the back. Attractive floating spit.

On tap @ Café Gollem, a few weeks ago. Brown colour, big head. Aroma of roasted malts, some dark fruits, yeast. Taste is roasted malts, some dark chocolate and dark fruits. Very dry mouthfeel, a bit watery.

On tap. Pours brown with a medium long lasting white/beige creamy head. Lots of dark fruits and candy store in the aroma that contains a good malt base. Good malty taste with sweet fruits and raisins.

Decent Abbey Dubbel, although a bit boring and standard. Slightly darker than other dubbels. Had it a couple of times at de Boom in Alkmaar. It doesn’t have that special scent that other dubbels have. It’s hard to explain what’s exactly missing.
