Tongerlo Christmas Dubbel Blond
Gold color. Very simple aroma; the flavor as well is not really interesting; reasonable body strength, spicy (coriander), with a quite strong final bitterness; and clearly not a Christmas beer.

Bottle Conditioned. BBE March 05. Fullish mouthfeel with some alcohol felt, but not dominant. A blonde ale. Yeasty flavours. Prickly carbonation. Decent quality, but not exciting.

Amber, low head no carbonation.
Mainly fruity flavors, especially banana ( and a little bit prunes), it actually got very close to a weissbier.
Slightly vineous notes as well and with a

An exception Christmas Dubbel. Smooth fruity taste with a blond duppel taste. Clear orange color with a moderate white bubbly head. Poor lacing but a good flavor. Slightly hoppy but overall an exceptional ale.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2005 (Bottled) Golden color with a medium head. Sweetish, slightly sour, banana-fruity berry aroma. Grainy-malty, a bit papery flavor with some spiciness and a fading, dryish finish. Medium-bodied, foamy-carbonated palate. A quite boring Belgian.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber/orange; fluffy, yellowish head. Herbal nose, crystal malt, meaty and yeasty, however filtered. Honey-ish taste, with a harsh bitter edge; a herbal concoction from the pharmacy. Syrupy mouthfeel, again meaty impression. This is not exactly my favourite. Beer of very weak quality, tastewise.

Amber orange color, small head. Malty, hoppy flowery aroma. Sweet hoppy perfumed flavor with a hint of tartness. Nice, but maybe a bit simple.
