Draught. Golden colour, small white head. Fruity sweet caramellish aroma with hints of hops. Flavour is of honey, malts, hops and a bit fruits too. A bit papery hints do exist also. Aftertaste mainly papery and hoppish fruity, Quite dry.

A Mes rate: Hoppy and sweet. Looks very tripelish. Darkish blonde and slightly cloudy. Head is just a thin film. Tastes stronger than it is to me. Lots of yeast and orange and not particularly inspiring. Something acrid in the finish which spoilt the overall impression for me.

Bottled. Hazy orange coloured with a medium sized lasting off white head. Aroma of spices, caramel, malts and fruits. Sweet flavour of fruits, dried fruits, caramel and spices.

Bright golden colour, with some very very small particles and a nice creamy head. Aroma of yeast and malt, with some citrus and fruity notes. Smooth taste and quite sticky texture, with a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness, with a little more hoppy long finish.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Amber-golden coloured beer with the taste of oranges and malt, there is a sence of citrus and spices. But not one of my favourites. (Bottle 33cl) (Bottle 33cl aged 4 years, aroma 7/10, appearance 4/5, flavor 8/10, palate 4/5, overall impression 15/20. This makes a total of 3.8. Not bad at all. Thanks to the innkeeper of ’het kafeeke’ at Heultje for giving me this bottle.) New rating. Sweet and malty aroma, flavour is also sweet, malty and spicy. (Bottle 33cl)

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden with a soft and very lasting head. Very close to the "Tongelo Dubbel Blond" which must be the base of this with some minor alterations in the recipe. A lovely velvety soft mouthfeel and a less sharp bitterness. 261097

33cl bottle, - out of date- bbe 8th Feb 05. Orval-coloured, turbid, small head. Malt with some peach, and unmistakeably alcohol in the aroma. Flat, rubbery and with a strange bitterness. Aging apparently does not improve this beer, will try a fresh version again (which I remember as being somewhat better).

Bottle. Dark golden colour with a big white head. Light spicy yeasty aroma and a sweet fruity light alcoholic taste. Medium body and a sweet alcoholic finish.
