33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from ALBO. Bottled on 30/08/2012 thus 2012 Vintage. Pours surprisingly a bright amber, bubbles rising and a big soapy white head that quickly descends. Smells of esters, slightly floral, candy sugar with some industrial soap sweetness in there plus a chunk of banana. Taste is bitter esters, floral, slightly phenolic, hint grass, very bubbly, something akin to sweetish cheap grainy alcohol, touch banana and hint of honey in the back followed by warming & noticeable booze, hint chemical / soapy. Very effervescent, very dominating fact over the taste. Why does this feel so boozy, its 6.5 % ABV? Unbalanced, faulty, raw Belgian. Why is this labelled as a Christmas beer? Feels like they are trying to fool people or something.

Beautiful looking beer, amber brew with towering fluffy head. Mildly spicy and nutty, awesome head retention, slightly musty aroma. Earthy, wooden, nuts....I am drinking this way out of season, but it’s still good.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Clear amber huge head meant I could only pour half the bottle into a Duvel glass. A tad over carbonated perhaps. Syrupy malty aroma. Yep its ok quite strong in alcohol. Overly carbonated. Some ok tangerine flavour. Yes its quite pleasant in the end

750 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a big foamy white head. A bit weak in aroma, brown sugar, slightly spicy and some yeast. Mild flavor of pale malt, brown sugar, alcohol and yeast. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. A bit plain, one dimensional and boring for my palate.
