Bottled, nice work by mowbeer bringing this back from pivni rozmanitost. Purple amber with a large bubbly head; aroma of deodorant and musty grain; loads of stewed pear and sweaty malt character with a surprisingly dry finish

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu. Rated on 11.12.2010
Aroma is slightly sweet with some ripe fruits, floral notes and hints of spices. Flavour is moderately spicy with some sweetish caramel, belgian yeast and ripe fruits. Yet another Belgian Christmas Ale.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
My green labelled 33cl brown bottle claims 7.5% ABV and had a best before date of 25 Mar 2011. Poured into my Westmalle chalice 23 Aug 2010), all the sediment appeared to stay, stuck to the bottle bottom.
The beer was an amber colour with an off-white head which started fairly thin, but stayed for most of the review.
The smell was of treacle and yeasts, a bit on the sweet side then!
Alcohol is the main ingrediant within the taste and flavours, taking over anything and everything else. No depth of body, or creamy richness for a Christmas beer no matter what style.
Not overly impressed, far to much alcohol and not enough substance from any other components.

Dark copper colour. Some yeast in the aroma. A bit of spice too. Has a balanced flavour. At first a bit bready and yeasty then the malt comes through before a bittersweet finish. Quite a rich mouthfeel.
