Robe ambrée, mousse peu abondante. Nez discret sur les fruits mûrs et les épices. Bouche souple, fraîche, légèrement fruitée, matière discrète et finale moyennement complexe. Une bière assez banale.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Amber-golden coloured beer with the taste of oranges and malt, there is a sence of citrus and spices. But not one of my favourites. (Bottle 33cl) (Bottle 33cl aged 4 years, aroma 7/10, appearance 4/5, flavor 8/10, palate 4/5, overall impression 15/20. This makes a total of 3.8. Not bad at all. Thanks to the innkeeper of ’het kafeeke’ at Heultje for giving me this bottle.) New rating. Sweet and malty aroma, flavour is also sweet, malty and spicy. (Bottle 33cl)

Hazy golden with a disappearing white head. Fruity aroma with a bit of citrus, some yeast and a mineral note. Dry malty flavour with yeasty and fruity notes

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2012 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber, with a foamy, disappearing white head. Aroma and flavor are fruit, orange peel, bit of caramel, yeast, and mild hopping. Moderately sweet. Doesn’t seem particularly christmasy, but it’s fine as a Belgian ale.

Niet zo sterke geur. Lekker fris, gelukkig maar want her is bloedheet bij de pubquiz. Donker koper, dun maar dekkend schuim.

An exception Christmas Dubbel. Smooth fruity taste with a blond duppel taste. Clear orange color with a moderate white bubbly head. Poor lacing but a good flavor. Slightly hoppy but overall an exceptional ale.

Cloudy golden colored pour with nice large white head. Malty flowery aroma with a nice sweet hoppy finish. Not too bad....

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is amber colored and has a long staying small white head, with average carbonation. The beer has an aroma with tones of spices, fruits and hops. The taste is a little sweet with tones of candy sugar and some some hoppy bitterness in the background. The finish is a little dry and medium bitter. Not what I expect from a Christmas Ale. I miss the warming alcohol and the full body.
