Amber/orange; fluffy, yellowish head. Herbal nose, crystal malt, meaty and yeasty, however filtered. Honey-ish taste, with a harsh bitter edge; a herbal concoction from the pharmacy. Syrupy mouthfeel, again meaty impression. This is not exactly my favourite. Beer of very weak quality, tastewise.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Amber-golden coloured beer with the taste of oranges and malt, there is a sence of citrus and spices. But not one of my favourites. (Bottle 33cl) (Bottle 33cl aged 4 years, aroma 7/10, appearance 4/5, flavor 8/10, palate 4/5, overall impression 15/20. This makes a total of 3.8. Not bad at all. Thanks to the innkeeper of ’het kafeeke’ at Heultje for giving me this bottle.) New rating. Sweet and malty aroma, flavour is also sweet, malty and spicy. (Bottle 33cl)

Dark golden, white head. Aroma from figs, cream and almond. Creamy, nutty flavor with fruits. Malty at first, thean turning hoppy and bitter.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a fluffy, slowly lacing, tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet malty, yeasty and fruity aroma. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, malty and yeasty, subtle honey-fruity taste with a rather slim body; slightly fizzy on the palate; sweet and yeasty bitter finish with a tinge of alcohol.

Pours a hazy amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of malts, citrus fruits, yeast and spices. Flavors of malts, herbs, fruits as some lemons, yeasts and spices. Good carbonation, bitter dry, with a bit of a smokey finish. Not what I expected for a Xmas brew.

Bottle Conditioned. BBE March 05. Fullish mouthfeel with some alcohol felt, but not dominant. A blonde ale. Yeasty flavours. Prickly carbonation. Decent quality, but not exciting.

Jeppe (2631) - Ølbutikken, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2005
Clear orange colored, fizzy off-white head. Yeast and fruit penetrates the aroma with tones of straw. Quite sweet and syrupy. Flavor is bittersweet malty and hayish with sweet fruity notes and a touch of alcohol. The taste is all right, but generally I find these blonds to sharp and rather unbalanced. It is probably just not my style of beer.....

Amber color with a white head. The taste is sweet with a nice fruityness. Very light dry spices on the palate.

Blond colour, rather neutral aroma; little hoppy. Large but diminishing white head. some sprankling. Medium palate, some bitter taste, carbonation. Finish is bitter, ending in a dry malty touch. Not really convincing.

33cl, from Geers Oostakker, X-Mas brew, easy to drink, not complex, hazy, small head, nothing special
