Panzerfaust (592) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - NOV 9, 2013
Bottled from Jumbo, Santiago. Pours a hazy amber-orange color with a big white and long lasting head. Aroma is fruity, malty and yeasty. Orange peel, coriander, pears, peaches and some vanilla. Mild spices and some concealed phenols. Taste is very sweet and fruity (pears) with some spiciness. Unfortunately its blemished by strong phenolic notes, especially in the harsh alcoholic finish. Big bodied and heavy. Could be better but it’s still a heavy hitter Tripel.
