(Jomfruland 23.03.13)

0.33l bottle. This is a clear golden one with a massive massive almost fluffy and everlasting white top that’s leaving some pretty serious lacing down the sides of the glass. It’s soft fruity on the nose. Some clear alcohol in here as well as traces soft white sugar, Belgian yeast and it can easily be describes as a typical tripel aroma. Not to extreme, but nice enough. It has a average+ carbonation level and a soft oily mouthfeel. More Belgian flavors in this, some alcohol, grains, slight floral with some sweet white sugar. Perhaps a bit raw at times, but it’s a decent classic Belgian tripel. 03.02.2013

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet, Stokmarknes. Grey-golden body. Faint white head. Sweet and spiced fruity aroma. mild vapour of alcohol. Fresh taste of sweet lemony hops joined by a spicy touch. Mid-sweet fruity ending added by moderate alcohol heat. Soft in the mouth. Quite ordinary for the style (Stokmarknes, 02.03.2013).

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2013 Bottle 33cl. Large white head, fizzy. Clear light golden color. Aroma is flowers, yeast, elderberries and pear with a hint of correction fluid. Flavour is more of steak tartare and wheat wine. It kind of stuns the oral mucosa in a good way.

0.33 flaske fra vinmonopolet. Gyllen farge med mye skum. Smaker gjær,banan, tyggegummi, frukt, alkohol. God, men for lite sødme og for mye bitterhet etter min smak

33 cl bottle at Rembrandt in Tongeren. Almost no aroma, it was really hard to figure out. Tasted like metal, some bitterness and sweet corn. Average beer but i'd drink it again. Lovely glass and on the plus side, the last amounts of beer in the bottle are poured in a seperate shot glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Foffern (1168) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy dark straw yellow with a soap-like off-white medium head. Pretty carbonated. Aroma of pale malt, sweet corn, hay and some Belgian yeast, alcohol and spices. Almost like a strong pale lager. A bit fruity flavour along with pear and some alcohol and hay. More disappointing. Has a light and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A surprisingly characterless and boring ale.
