3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from 12-oz bottle at All Pints North festival in Duluth, Minnesota. Pours a clear dark brown copper colored brew with a fast dissipating off-whtie head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some toffee and floral hops. Taste is medium bodied, low mild bitterness with flavors of caramel malt, a hint of corn and honey. Finish is semi-sweet, very low bitterness with a short lived caramel and toffee aftertaste. One of the better offerings of the Tonka Beer Company.

Bottle. Pours a reddish color with white head. Caramel, malty, cardboard flavors. A little stale and lacking in carbonation. Not too good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled at All Pints North 2013 in Duluth, MN. Clear amber pour, quite carmelly. Just okay for me; wouldn’t seek this one out.
