lasonovich (151), Australia Oct 3, 2003 One of the better tooheys beers. At least it has a nice colour and a slight hops flavour. Winchester (75), Struggle Town NSW, Australia Aug 31, 2003 Updated: Oct 10, 2003A fair attempt at a mid-strength bitter by Tooheys. Better than Tooheys gold, but who drinks mid-strength anyway? Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia Jun 18, 2003 Great label, you just have to like something that has a buck on it. Trouble is you have to pay more than one to taste this and like all mid-strength beers it is just not worth it. Nice colour though. Linc (736), Sydney, Australia Jul 30, 2002 My sample has had an extended lagering period you might say (it sat in my dad’s beer fridge for the last 2 years) and it seems to have done good things. The main reason it sat there for so long is that no-one has been game to touch it (it’s reputation precedes it) so I was pleasantly surprised to find, after I got by the aroma of fermenting carrots, that there is actually a bit of malt to be tasted, some sweetness reminscent of a carrot cake and very mild bitterness. I think I even noticed a bit of body (shock horror, there has to be something wrong with this bottle) but the most shocking thing about this is the (high) score I am giving it... I cannot recommend this beer under usual circumstances but if you want to try it at it’s best, there is another bottle in my dad’s beer fridge... ;-) Caton (160), Sydney, Australia Mar 14, 2002 Mid strength beers just dont work ! this beer is not worth it. itsmax (103), Sydney, Australia Dec 2, 2001 YUK!
