Aug 26, 2007 A beer of little merit. Pours a cheap and nasty yellow piss like colour with no head. After that is cardboard and rank chemicals. The marketing is nonesense. I am plumbing the depths now to increase my number of beers rated on this cursed website.

Sep 24, 2006 In the bottle from Bottle-o in Hamilton. Pours gold with a poofy white head. Does not have very much in aroma, but does have a pronounced hop flavor. Bitter with a bit of fruitiness. I don’t understand the "twice fermented" description leading to fewer calories, but this this seems a touch better than many of the other swills I’ve had in Oz.

May 1, 2006 Bottled. At Randwick Golf Club, Sydney, Oz. Light golden fizz, slightly, sweet, slightly bitter. Just a low carb nonsense beer.

Nov 1, 2005 You don’t see this stuff much any more, which hopefully is a sign that it failed to find a market. It’s one of those lower-cal beers that uses a "special brewing process" to slash the calorie count by 20%. Pours clear gold with a reasonable 1cm head showing fair length. The aroma is faint and indeterminate but at least has nothing offensive. Some malt and grassy hops. Big fizzy wash in the mouth dissipating to a mild bitter swallow. Hello taste? It’s vaguely malty in the middle and vaguely hoppy in the finish but there’s really very little going on here. They’ve dropped the abv to 4.6%, which doesn’t help. This is like the quiet kid at school that no one liked or disliked because no one could be bothered either way. (375ml bottle, Amatos, bb 30/11/05)

Dec 22, 2004 Pretty dark for the style. Grassy, raspberry cordial aroma with some caramel. Cidery, some malt and metal flavour. Not that great but with 20% less calories at least I lost some weight.

Jul 27, 2004 Fair head, slight smell, slightly bitter. Cheap, drinkable, but nothing special about it. Better than the Carlton LJ, though.

Oct 15, 2003 The appearance is golden straw with a good small head good lacing and then not much else. Some malt caramel flavours, grassy hop aroma and light bitterness. Maybe if they put the calories back it would have more taste.

Oct 3, 2003 Why must tooheys make so many bland beers that all taste the same. Can't they put any flavour in anything. This is a reduced calorie beer with no flavour, its easy to drink though.
