Is lightly hopped flavor complemented by a good balance between bitter and sweet tastes. Enhanced thirst-quenching qualities and high drinkability.

Not completely sure why I picked this one up; here goes anyway. Aroma is slightly skunky but Iíve encountered worse. Corn, malts, and a little sweetness. Clear golden with a pillowy head. Wow, itís not horrible. Some sweet malts, adjuncts, and a touch of hops are evident in this one. Body is fairly smooth. While itís certanly not the worst beer Iíve ever had I canít think of a reason to drink this one again.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Tooheyís new? Well if a 7+ year old beer is new? A little musty on the lid pop, then it clears to a sweet american malt liquor aroma. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and a appearance. On the palate, it provides a good above average tingly carbonation. The taste is an interesting leathery lager taste, yet slightly repulsive in itís own way. Overall a little more coarse than I expected for a simple pale lager. Has more alky personality than a typical 4.6% lager.

Bottle. Pours a light golden in color with a massive head. Relatively no aroma, maybe a little sweet corn and skunk. the flavor its a bit coppery, skunky, not good. Next.

Bottle: Pours a large head, has spare sacing, and is lightly cloudy body and particles. Has a breaddy/grainy aroma and light hop smell with a perfume wispiness now and again. The yeast seems to be in adequate amounts, but I canít really help to to feel a large presence of Pepe Le Pew, er. skunk. The body is light, average carbonation and was a beer that I couldnít finish....

Im not that keen on this beer, another mass produced Aussie beer. A lot better straight from the tap when is served as extra cold

Bottle at Outback Steakhouse - Poured a nice amber in color with a small white head that quickly faded. Aroma was light, but some evidence of hops and a bit more malty sweetness. Flavor pretty much matched the aroma... not strongly flavored. Easy drinking, but so is cold water... not as good as other Aussie beers that I have had.

(On tap super cold at the local) I liked the idea that the beer was served at -2C into a well-refrigerated schooner glass! Poured clear with an active head that fell over the outside of the glass before quickly settling to about a consistant half centimeter. The first sip on my way to the table quenched my immediate thirst, and after sitting down I enjoyed watching the foam remnents freeze on the outside of the glass. This beer went down clean and fresh like a lagar should, and I opt for this over the rest of the usual Queensland lagar tap faire.

A fantastic drop best served in a chilled schooner. Watching the beautiful amber liquid pour into the schooner truly wets the appetite for what is to come. As you lift it towards your lips you get a whiff of the sensual aroma permeating from the perfectly formed glass. Finally the liquid gold hits your mouth. It tastes like beer, a flavour second to none.

Sampled out of a bottle. Not bad, it was very nice when it was super cold and it was hot outside. Overall though its not that great of a beer but its decent and crafted well.
