2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DedicatedToFun (670) - Alabama, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Poured a nice foamy head with a dark body. Inital taste is a sweet caramel, but you can get a definate taste of the malt.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hawthorne00 (1858) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 12, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown with a light beige head that fades to a coat. Aroma of chocolate, stewed berries, coffee, grass. Lowish carbonation, fairly watery. Taste is like the aroma but is less gutsy. But it’s nicely balanced, with the modest bitterness finding its way forward right at the end. And whilst the flavours are modest there’s nothing out of place. Still fine on a warm night.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jimthechap (1195) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 15, 2013
It appears as a combination of deep russet and tawny with a mocha coloured head that left good lace around the sides of the glass. Aromas lean toward chocolate, dusty cocoa and deep caramel. Plenty of carbonation and good flavours of those chocolates. Not any bitterness immediately apparent but then it comes as a gentle pinch. A sweet finish, tasty enough.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 KeefOz (471) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - OCT 14, 2012
From stubbie poured a semi-clear dark brown with a red tint. Virtually no head. Low carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste has hint of roasted grain. Light body (bordering on watery). Somewhat bland.

Pours black, fairly light carbonation, tight off white head. Smells of coffee, toffee, roasted malt. Tastes roasty, hint of coffee and dark chocolate. Finishes a little creamy. Quite a good drop and very easy drinking

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bif (1023) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 14, 2012
Bottle- Pours a dark mahogany color with a good tan head that fades slowly to good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, a mild blend of coffee and chocolate with just a hint of caramel sweetness. Taste of roasted malt, some bittersweet chocolate, coffee and a bit of caramel sweetness. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, crisp, smooth and creamy. has plenty of carbonation. Surprisingly good beer that goes down easy. This is a quality beer from a brewery I did not expect much from. Worth checking out.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jdpeebs (636) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 19, 2012
Tap and bottle. A good beer, nice dark malt characteristics, smooth and refreshing. if there are no craft beers at the pub, this is my first choice every time.

Went on a road trip one time and the only thing I drank was this beer. Has a coffee-like taste and aroma to an overall great black beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 floydian1 (719) - FNQ Australia, AUSTRALIA - APR 23, 2012
375ml stubbie. Dark brown pour with a small tan head. Nose of sweet caramel malts with faint dark chocolate and roasty notes. Palate is smooth and creamy but the body is medium-light with a low carbonation. Sweet malt flavours dominate with a subtle hop bitterness. Highly sessionable. Aussie macro brewer in decent beer shock!
