Is a robustly flavored ale made with top fermentation ale yeast. The beer is lightly hopped and black malt gives it darker color. The fruity ale-like esters blend well with the subtle hoppiness and hints of coffee/chocolate to deliver a unique beer.

Mild nutty aroma, red brown colour with a white lasting head. Quite smooth, not an awful lot of flavour but a sound choice at most pubs.

Mahogony in color with an off-white head. Toasted malts, molasses, chocolate, with lightly sweet fruit. Medium bodied. Pretty solid, really. Not what I look for in a brown ale, but I’d have a couple pints and be fine with it.

It Is better than the other Tooheys range, it at least has a little flavour. but I’d only ever get it when it’s the only option alongside Tooheys extra dry etc, I would never seek this out. not much interesting here.

375ml brown bottle. Dark brown, clear. Thin tan head on top with minimal lacing. Nose has caramel and dark chocolate notes. Taste has chocolate malt and caramel, fruity. Plain dryish finish with low bitterness. Light bodied. Better than I was expected.

Darkish brown with a minimal pale head. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, cereal, malt. Reasonably thin bodied, slighty watery on the palate, no sign of hops other than a slightly grassy aftertaste. Taste is chocolate malt, caramel, cereal. Nothing interesting but nothing offensive.

Bottle. This was a bit of a let down. I was expecting something with more roasting and character. Thin, lightly roasted, and rather blah.

Kita (1117) - Koper, SLOVENIA - FEB 28, 2014
Bottle, 0.375l. Clear brown color with medium creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, cereals and grassy hops. Taste starts with moderate sweet nutty maltiness, follows fresh grassy and mild fruity with light bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Not bad and at least not an Aussie lager...

Decent mass-produced ale. Unremarkable aroma, slightly grassy. Malt and light caramel taste with a metallic twinge. Not very bitter, easy drinking.

375ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a 2 finger eggshell white head that settles slowly and reveals some nice lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma is grassy with some hints of caramel and chocolate and roasted grains. Taste is a grassy hop and light roasted grain bitterness with a chocolate and caramel malty sweetness. Has a slightly metallic finish. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation leaving a decent feel on the palate. A decent dark ale that is worth trying.
