Tooheys Pils

Bottle - Pours a golden colour with a frothy white head. Not a very nice aroma, a mixture of boiled rice and cardboard! Starts of with a slight sweetness and then a vegetable thing. I notice they have dropped the saaz hops and the alcohol content to 4.5%. The last time I tried this it was much better.

345ml bottle. Clear and sparkling golden in colour with big bubbles that make up an average snowy head. Strong hop aroma and feels fresh and crisp in the mouth with a well balanced bitterness.

Bottle. Clear yellow with a tiny head that disappeared. Malt, vegetables and metallic notes. I’m not detecting any true saaz character in this beer. Poorly advertised and definitely not a pils in any shape or form. It doesn’t really fair much better as a lager either.

Bottle purchased 01.15.09 at the liquor store next to Coles in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Hazy gold, white head. Aroma is malt, dried fruit, hops. Flavor is malt, caramel, tomato, hops.

i find this beer better than say a tooheys new but that isnt saying much.As far as pilseners go, this is pretty average. It goes down ok,but try something different than this crap.

Gold pour,thin frothy head,carbonation mild,aroma saaz hops,a metallic smell, flavour little malt,hop,slight bitter but the metallic takes over no thanks.Finish malt metallic not good.

I am a lover of pilsner, but sorry this is a poor excuse for one. Little aroma, flavour is not right

Tooheys Pils - Clear gold with a thin but lasting head. Thin bodied with medium carbonation. Sweet, malty with a mild bitterness Not great but better than Tooheys New.
