| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 7, 2003 Bottled. Golden body with a decent shiny white head. This must be ‘Australian-for-pilsner’ as it tastes nothing like the real thing. 1-dimensional, it lacks the malt and hop harmony of its European heritage. This beer is just one of many that has hit the Sydney/Australian market in recent years, attempting to appeal to a more cosmopolitan and learned audience. Styles like Porter, Amber Ale, Pils’ and IPA are now part of every major brewers range. The trouble is the marketing has evolved more quickly then your regular punters palate can handle, therefore these beers aren’t true representations of the style and to be fair to the brewmasters down under, probably their talent. These beers are hybrids designed to appear to adventurous folk without stretching them to far. It’s progressive but not their yet. Hang in there lads, Duff, nasullivan, et al. Quite a weak bite and not really too sweet like others, but an easy one to drink. Not Tooheys best beer, of course, but better than others bluevegie (2230), Perth, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 13, 2003 Good colour and nice lacing are the 2 things going for this beer. I want my pilseners to have a decent bite to them unfortunately this hasn't ,dry soapy taste medium thin texture and not much finish but easy to knock back a couple after a workout. bfgill (120), Tasmania, Australia
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 6, 2003 It has potential. After tasting Urquell I was hoping for some more Saaz action. But alas, my hopes faded as I tasted a beer that doesnt really wanna do anything. cheers lasonovich (151), Australia
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 3, 2003 A very strange pilsener. A weird chemical taste makes it difficult to drink. The colour is nice but it just isn't a pilsener at all. farmboy (218), Barwon Heads, Australia
