[6702-20140826] Bottle. Mildly fruity wood pine aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter fruity hops flavour has a strange evergreen toast note. Medium body is quite bitter. Tasty. (7/4/8/4/16) 3.9-

Heard some guy on you tube say this was Scotland’s greatest IPA. Nope. Not even close. It has some nice hoppy aroma and a reasonable balancing sweetness but its overly acidic, dusty and lacking in structure. Not much joy there. But way below a contender for greatness.

[Bottle (500ml) shared with Ferris, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma of fruit, bready malt and citrus hops. Flavour is fruity and hoppy along with bready malt and a moderate bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good, not great.

2014-08-26. Lightly hazy orange body with a small off white head. 3+ Aroma of resiny orange citrus hops, leafy notes. 7+ Flavour is lightly bitter throughout. Modest orange citrus, lightly resiny, mild leafy touches. 7+ Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Decent, and quite enjoyable but possibly not super fresh. Bottle frome AleselA, Glasgow

Bottle - Slight citrus and pithy hops. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Grapefruit and resinous bitterness. Long bitterness and pretty OK, but nothing out of the ordinary.

couleur or profond, nez houblonné, fruits rouges, pamplemousse, litchi. Bouche à peine moins fruitée, mais belle amertume, pas trop caramélisée. Bonne longueur, sur les agrumes. Une IPA classique, bien faite.

Tasted this at the Bon Accord on the 1st August 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque orange amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Strong aroma of spruce resin and dry hops, long in intensity. Thick almost gloopy resiny mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Strong pale malt base gives a powerful medley of tropical fruit with mango, Galia melon, lychees and pear all evident. Strong whack of tropical fruit flavour also from the generous supply of new world hops? adds a thick, cloying resiny aftertaste which intensifies in the mouth. Finish is robust and bitter with the initial sweetness being replaced by a dry, aromatic pine resin note in the palate. A decent Imperial IPA, a bit too cloying for my tastes though.
