Bottle @ home, thanks to TheAlum for sending. Pours a slightly hazy, darkish orange appearance with a lasting, big cream colored head. Grapefruit, candy, tropical fruits in the nose along with some herbal / grassy notes. A touch goopy with some residual sugar but it isn’t overly sweet. A lot of grapefruit, peach, and apricots. Some pine. A little heat on the finish. Kind of a fun beer but I’d take a Pseudo Sue over this.

Bottle @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Clear golden orange pour with a white head. A bit of sweet caramel on the nose, but plenty of pineapple, grapefruit, and pine. Nice tropical, mango character, too. A bit on the fruity sweet side, but quite nice. Tons of mango and pineapple, some peach as well. Grapefruit and pine bitterness, orange peel, and some hints of caramel and bready malt.

Bottle share at RBSG, sampled back to back with pseudoSue, cloudy golden pour, with a nice finger or two white head. Aroma is loaded with tropical fruits, pine, and some sticky malt sweetness. Taste is an explosion of tropical fruits up front, sweet malts, and finishes bitter with a lingering aftertaste. This was really good.

Sampled at the RBSG14 Grand Tasting - Pours golden orange with a small white head. The aroma has lots of tropical fruits, rich malt, smooth citrus and mango. It has a medium / full body with soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with tropical fruits, alcohol warmth and caramel. The finish has some alcohol heat and heavily bitter hops. Really great IIPA.

One of a few 22oz bottle from storminspank. Thanks as always, brother. Pours a gorgeous yet dulled amber orange hue, a darker middle with lively carbonation, nice frothy creamy whitish head atop stays as a decent layer, good stick around and fair lacing overall. A nice glow throughout is darker orange amber fire. Aromas are richly and intensely fruity, big tropical fruit meets grapefruit, mango and papaya, touches of pineapple, florals and richer citrus juice. Juicy melon, touches of earth and a nice bitterness. Fresh, vibrant, full of life and further away from that dank/diesel TG Signature hop profile we’re used to. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a bit fuzzy with firm bitterness, bigger grapefruit and pithy citrus and juiciness. Touches of melon meet a bit less fruit than the potent nose suggest put still quite on point. Florals and decent bitterness, gentle bready and token malt elements let a firmer, bitter hop element trigger the lead. Lemons, tropical fruit, bitter grapefruit and florals start to taper out. A bit of gumball and fruity qualities compliment well. Lighter, bitter and still quite drinkable. This is how DIPAs should be. The smaller malt bill allows a potent hop profile and firm bitterness that grows more impressive as we roll into the back and finish. Bitter, lingering touches of fruit and floral hops. A touch of sweetness gives some complexity from a nice fruit display, dry bready malts. That gentle house TG flavor comes in a bit back here. Really damn good stuff. More fruity, nuanced and on point than SOSUS, I feel but perhaps a bit less intense with it’s hop profile and flavors. While Sosus has the wow factor a bit over this one, I think this brew is a better product.
