This spectacularly golden, medium bodied IPA was crafted from a winning combination of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops.

Fall in love with the big hop aroma of our Golden Nugget as it mingles with fragrances of citrus and evergreen, followed by a floral sweetness. Tropical fruit flavors entice your taste buds before immediately captivating you with a bold, hop forward taste and a pleasant bitterness that lingers in the finish.

Bottle. Hazy copper with a medium sized good lacing off white head. Nose has pine, citrus, light cheese, light golden bread. Flavour is soft with sweet tropical fruits; lychee, apricot, passion fruit, citrus, light candied fruit and some bread behind it. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, fine balance between sweet and bitter with mild acidity. Dry and bitter finish. Good.

2-month old bottle. 12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite fruity, with juicy piney hops, floral notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is dry, with floral hops upfront, some pine, and a very minerally dry biscuity malt finish. Not very complex, but the flavours that are there are very nice. Dry on the palate with a spritzy finish. Very nice.

The coupling of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops has resulted in the beautiful bastard that is Golden Nugget. A dank, tropical, and perfectly balanced IPA. Smells and flavors are redolent of nectar, evergreen, tea, grass, and cannabis. There’s even a bit of biscuit-like malt. My first Toppling Goliath brew and one hell of a great way to start.

(Thanks, Gene! "Travlr") Bottle. A- Dank, pine, grapefruit A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head, T- Pine, citrus, bitter, malty, perfume, baby powder. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- I’m quite honestly amazed that this doesn’t taste like a hop bomb. Starts out with a big perfume flavor and develops into a bitter pine a grapefruit balance, that isn’t overwhelming. Then it fades into a malty backbone. Pretty well done on this one.

Pours copper, nice white head. Aroma is big bitter pine, grapefruit, some floral notes. Taste is citrus and tropical fruits, but muted, nice hoppy evergreen bite, solid resiny mouthfeel. It’s a solid beer, but my least favorite of the four TG pale ales I’ve tried (PseudoSue, Zeelander, 1492 and GN).

Thanks to Minderbinder for the opportunity! Pours a clear golden (duh) with a small white head that fades into a thin sheet that leaves really good lacing. Nose is of heavy hops with orange and resin shining the most. Taste is lightly sweet and moderately bitter so balance is pretty good. Flavors citrus, oranges and pine. A little alcohol in the finish. Body is medium, carbonation moderately low and mouthfeel a little sticky. Overall a fairly serious contender in the hops war but the alcohol warmth makes it a bit harder to drink than most world-class IPA so I’m going to say it is not quite up to that level just yet. Almost, though.

orange amber, firm head, loads of lacing. Aroma is spruce, slight pine, slightly tropical, some tiny citrus but more spruce and piney. Hints of sweetness on the front, long and lingering bitterness. Nice.

Hazy gold color with a large head. Slightly dank, pungent, mango aroma. Dry marmalade flavor. Very light carbonation. Almost feels syrupy. Moderate bitterness.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spicy hops, citrus fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, straw, spicy hops, and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.
