This spectacularly golden, medium bodied IPA was crafted from a winning combination of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops.

Fall in love with the big hop aroma of our Golden Nugget as it mingles with fragrances of citrus and evergreen, followed by a floral sweetness. Tropical fruit flavors entice your taste buds before immediately captivating you with a bold, hop forward taste and a pleasant bitterness that lingers in the finish.

Difficult to find fault with this one, and after more than one, I’m hardly inclined to. A nose that will knock your socks off, enough hop bitterness to satisfy your hop cravings, and a mouthful soft and full enough to keep this quaffable for a good session of beer drinking. Truly a great discovery in Iowa! I found this in a couple of places during our (my girlfriend/bride to be and mine) visit to Iowa City last week--Blackstone and Sanctuary. Worth checking out.

Bright golden red color with creamy head. Great nose, with traces of peach, melon and light pine. Viscous mouthfeel. Nice beer, but not quite what it was cracked up to be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Glassy, fair golden pour. Dissipating bubbles. Cookie dough and lemon verbena aroma, surrounded in white peach, and wildflower honey. Malt notes are persistent throughout, offering shades of mineral earth and bakery aromas. The flavor is restrained; a damp, dank grassiness is more prevalent than the brightness of tropical intimations. It’s a pure, tasteful flavor that finds its target. The palate is clean and crisp; lighthearted and agile, leaving no sugars or pithy bitterness behind.

650ml bottle. Clear golden pour with soft white foam. Nose is light hoppy peach fruitiness and floral notes. Fairly juicy, floral taste. Buttery malt. Clean tasting, no huge resinous notes or anything. This is perhaps quite a subtle hop and thus a subtle beer, but to be honest I hoped for a bit more from it.

Tap at Dexters. Filtered tan-orange body. Thin, fading, glass-rimming head. Smooth tropical hop aroma. Even bigger tropical hop tastes, bold. Crisp and clean golden malt body. A really great modern IPA. Big, resinous tropical hops..almost reminiscent of Hopslam at times, but with a lighter, more palatable body. Grassy and dry, but also peach and mango. Excellent.

12 oz pour on tap at T-Bock’s, Decorah, IA. Pours a clear dark golden/light orange color with active carbonation rising from the base of the glass. Half inch of white head settles to the rim leaving moderate lacing. Aroma is hop presence in the form of tangerine peel and grapefruit, very enjoyable. Malt and ale yeast as well. Flavor is sane, a very solid IPA with forward bitterness. Pepper, pine and spicy notes from active carbonation. Medium bodied, clean bitter finish. Delicious and worth seeking out.

Tasted from a bomber. It poured a clear golden hue with a frothy off-white head and streaky lacing. Fruity hop aroma with a grapefruit hop taste. Goes down nice and easy. A tasty little number. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared at Crooked Stave. Pour is clear orange with a big white head and decent lacing. Orange peel, lemon, light tropical fruits, biscuit, and grapefruity aroma. Taste is very lemony, straw notes, oraneges, mango, and pineapple with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Tasty, but not quite as good as some of their other hoppy offerings.

Growler, at R&D bottleshare. Slight bitter slight citrus. Pretty damn tasty IPA.
