This spectacularly golden, medium bodied IPA was crafted from a winning combination of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops.

Fall in love with the big hop aroma of our Golden Nugget as it mingles with fragrances of citrus and evergreen, followed by a floral sweetness. Tropical fruit flavors entice your taste buds before immediately captivating you with a bold, hop forward taste and a pleasant bitterness that lingers in the finish.

Difficult to find fault with this one, and after more than one, I’m hardly inclined to. A nose that will knock your socks off, enough hop bitterness to satisfy your hop cravings, and a mouthful soft and full enough to keep this quaffable for a good session of beer drinking. Truly a great discovery in Iowa! I found this in a couple of places during our (my girlfriend/bride to be and mine) visit to Iowa City last week--Blackstone and Sanctuary. Worth checking out.

A 12 fl oz bottle bottled on 30th June 2015 and poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden orange colour with a two finger creamy white head that had good retention and nice lacing. Aromas are rich tropical fruits especially mango, pineapple, peach and apricot with a hint of sweet citrus like mandarin. Tastes are light tropical mango upfront which gives way to sweet caramel malt and sweet citrus mandarin before ending with a light grapefruit peel bitterness finish. Sharp, crisp, medium bodied with mid to high carbonation. Overall a very solid IPA with great aromas. Taste was sweeter than I expected and I prefer more bitterness in my IPAs, but this was still very good.

355 ml bottled June 30th 2015, from Mikkeller Webshop.
Golden, clear body, with a big, creamy, lacing, white head.
Very fresh aroma of grapefruit, pine, resin, orange, peach, citrus candy, some biscuit.
Taste follows this, quite light bodied, but really fresh instead.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, citric, piney, medium zesty, a bit malty.

Lovely! Very fresh, clean and crisp. Wonderful citrus fruit and pine notes, with a moderate malt backbone, so that it is really easy. Maybe not as extraordinary as other IPAs, but perfectly balanced and highly drinkable, just how I like an IPA.
