COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspiration for our newest Hop Patrol IPA comes from the House of Faun in Pompeii, Italy. At this site, some of the worldís most famous mosaics were preserved under layers of ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Just as Mount Vesuvius preserved the complex mosaics of Pompeii, this single-hop IPA preserves the luxurious taste of the Mosaic hop.

Bomber to shaker. Yellow orange pour with a slight haze. Mountainous white head. Lemony fresh hop aroma. Nice juicy hop flavor but with that mosaic cattiness that disagrees with my palate on the finish.

From bomber. Smell of peach and citrus. Beautiful off white head. Not quite as much carbonation as most IPAs. Taste is nearly perfect peach and citrus. Nice aftertaste that is not too harsh, but pleasing to the palate.

22oz bomber. Hazy peach..orange-tan body. Foamy, frothy, steady glass lacing thin white head. Awesome new school IPA. Delicate but bold juicy guava, melon, raspberry tones...all from the hops...new school sensory experience and Iím not sure how anyone could rate this under a four if they have it relatively fresh, 6 days from the bottling date when I cracked this one. Pretty much flat out phenomenal. Excellent stuff.

Aroma is pungent hops, spices and slightly perfumed citrus. The flavor is complex hops, grapefruit, mild pine needles, malts, citrus, fruit and a resiny/bitter/tart finish.

Bottle. Orange/yellow pour with a white head. Grapefruit hop bouquet. Taste follows. Average body and mouthfeel. Sturdy malt backbone. Minerally.

22oz bottle pours a hazy yellow amber color with a huge frothy head. Nicely balanced hop profile allows the mosaic hop to be tasted without too much intensity.

22 oz bottle courtesy of Al Carpenter. Shared with ebone1988. The pour is a nice orange-ish gold with a huge white head and some excellent lace as it falls down to a ring with an island of froth. The aroma is surprisingly Belgian for what I was expecting. The bready malts and yeast dominate the front of the nose. There is a little light fruit and a touch of dank pine on the far back. The flavor is surprisingly spicy. The Belgian style really dominates. It's got a lot of clove and bready malt and just not at all what I was expecting. I am not a fan of this one. The mouth feel is decent. There is a good thickness and the carbonation might be a little overdone, but it hangs around. The aftertaste is lingeringly hoppy, which is probably the best part ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is tropical fruit, dank, sweet. Appearance is perfect orange/gold, white head. Taste is different. A lot of clove for some reason, none of the sweet tropical fruit I look for in a mosaic-hopped beer, just not that great. Mouthfeel is pretty carbonated, light, not great. Overall, Iím very disappointed in this one.
