COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Bomber poured into a Dogfish Head IPA glass Pours a cloudy yellow with a thick head. The aroma is total citrus, grapefruit? Still waiting for the head to dissipate. Lots of tiny bubbles. This maybe my first APA so Iím not sure of what it is suppose to taste like. Hoppy, I could see how it might be a relative of a IPA. Strange citrus flavor. I am not a big grapefruit fan so this might not be a beer for me. I will admit though, I have never had a beer that tastes anything like this and the aroma hits me in the nose every time I take a drink. I will give it a chance to grow on me since I have 3 more bottles left.

Pours a hazy orange color with formal notes on the nose. Nice bitterness in the flavor with hints of mango and citrus. Beautiful balanced finish.

Whoa. How is that a pale ale? That smells like and tastes like an IPA. Whoa. That is SO good. Wow. Unreal.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2014
From the April 2014 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow-gold color with a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry, bitter, citric and had a bit of grapefruit. The flavor was bitter, tart and tangy with notes of lemon, grapefruit, a bit of chalk and Sweettart candies. Medium length finish of lemon and chalk. Medium body. Ok.

Simply the best. Very clean and crisp. Malts really let those citrus flavored citra hop shine. I have yet to have a better APA. And I have been trying pretty hard.

A: Cloudy golden orange, really creamy head that lingers. S: Wow looooovvee Citra hops, and this showcases why. Candied mango, grapefruit, passion-fruit, some lemon/lime, tangerine, and light pine. Very tropical. Smells like HF Citra Single, although more pungent. T: Upfront I get a watermelon like vegetable taste. Not as flavorful as the aroma would suggest, maybe some light citrus notes. Cant get over the overwhelming watermelon taste. M: Crisp with a light sweetness, appealing dryness as well. O: Not sure if itís the bottle I got or this is actually how it is but after smelling this beer I was let down. The aroma is just so amazing but didnít drink as well as the smell, was kinda let down on the hype.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange color ale with a large foamy head with excellent retention and some great lacing. Aroma consists of tropical fruits with light citrus notes with great floral notes. Taste is also dominated by huge fresh tropical fruits notes with light citrus notes and some very limited bitterness. Some residual sugar is perceptible with light malt presence. Body is full for style with good carbonation. This is a world-class pale ale for sure.

Bomber from Historic Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI. Massive catty Citra nose, tropical fruit, banana, celery, and ripe melon. Large grapefruit, thick solid caramel cut through with the hops, and tongue-buzzing grain. Finishes more or less balanced -- but still bursting with flavors. This is a pale ale taken to a new dimension. One hell of a tasty brew.

Bomber. Big, juicy nose, tropical fruits, orange, mango, passion fruit. Cloudy orange color. Stinky mango, orange, peach, flavors, sweet and crackers full and smooth. Wow. Magnificent.
