4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
475 ml can, canned Jan 16, courtesy of Werckmeister, many thanks!
Golden-amber, medium hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, apricot, orange, passion fruit, pineapple, some flowers, some pine, biscuit.
Taste follows this, with some more grapefruit.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, medium dry, with long-lasting piney and citric notes.
Really tasty. Very fresh, crisp and easy drinkable, with loads of lovely citric notes. Great showcase for one of my favourite hop variants, straight, perfectly balanced, with just enough malt body. Not my favourite APA (at least at 4 months old), but just how I want this style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazed, light amber color with a tallish cream colored head. Grapefruit, pithy orange, pure raw hops, and hints or caramel malt. If you light fresh hops scents, this is for you. I would prefer a bit more malt and balance, but it is what it is. Soft feel. Light pine, red grapefruit, mild peaches and hint of circus peanuts. I like the freshness, but am trying to understand the “love” for this one. Perhaps a bit of underdog appreciation, as I remember the love for other small local upstart. Don’t get me wrong, a well brewed hoppy ale, but 4+? I’m struggling. Raw barley and vanilla lurk in the back ground. Some tea and lemon in the linger. 4/14

4.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Citra Citra Citra! Always what I'm in search of. Lacks the aroma and a little butter versus citrus than I'd expect - that's what stops the perfect score. If I could only find in Chicago.
Can in Wisconsin.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can. As solid of a beer this is, it is NOT the best pale ale out there. At least the one month old cans didnt show this. maybe fresh tap would. Nose is floral lite pine, grapefruit, nothing really all that special but solid. Very bright floral flavors, lots of lemon, somewhat tart hop flavors. Mild bitterness, mostly lemon citric almost a cleaner-esque hop profile on the finish. Nice toasted malt base does show here, giving some nice sweetness. Solid but its not the best.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep golden light haze offering a medium light creamy white head with very good lacings. Aromas of mango, citrus with a soft touch of caramel and ripe papaya, flowery and dried lime peel. Soft carbonation, lean and smooth texture, bright and crisp body. Harmonic and balanced with a caramel toasty sweetness and a flowery light piney and tropical fruit hop bite. Medium lasting finish - quaffer!

Bottle. Cloudy golden pour with a white head. Aroma is grassy, fresh, bright, some citrus zest. Taste is the same; fresh and grassy with some citrus zest, slightly dry finish. Excellent pale ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

16oz can at home. Canned 01/15/2016. orange light hazy color, medium big white head. smells of resin, toffee, light herbal, light exotic fruits. overall good smell but not very impressive. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of resin, pines, nice exotic fruits, lightly citric, some grapefruit, pineapple, toffee, light currant notes, peppery, lemon grass, a bit stale hoppy towards the finish. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of resin and lemon grass. overall good stuff, but was expecting quite a bit more. rather heavy for a pale ale (more ipa-ish).
