This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Fresh bottle. Clear, bright yellow pour with moderate amount of foamy head. Good retention. Big floral/citrus/woody aroma. Really vibrant. Taste is amazing - orange, grapefruit, lemon peel, resiny. This was gulpable. I want mas!

Draft and bottle. It’s hard to believe this is "only" a pale ale. Pours a cloudy orange with a large frothy head. Nose is overwhelming tropical fruits and pineapple. Taste is equally as great. World class.

Draft at Hunaphu Day 2014. Light golden pour with a bubbly white head. Big juicy tropical fruit hop nose with mild pine bitterness. Flavor is similar, bright, juicy and refreshing. Dry bitter finish and delicious.

Wow one of the brightset, tricked out pales ever. Nice citrus nose, but the mouthfeel is amazing. Light bready, peach, pineapple, toffee malt and a sweetness that dries up nicely. Light and well carbed. Excellent drinker. Put this on tap and park the bus!

Light amber golden color. Frothy white head. Huge Citra bomb in the nose with lots of mango and citrus notes. The mouth is flawless, really well hopped, decent backbone, but light and smooth. Uber quaffable. Modest, but not aggressive bitter finish. Very rounded. A benchmark of an APA. Lives up to the hype.

Tasted from a growler (thanks Pablo). It poured a hazy golden amber with a frothy white head and spotty lacing. Bodacious bouquet of mixed citrus and mango. Bright flavors with refreshing burst of hops. Toppling Goliath’s got a winner here!

Growler thanks to the one and only Jstax ! Pours a medium golden color with two fingers of sticky eggshell foam. Nose is a big burst of citrus, valencia orange some sweet tropical fruits and a hint of scallion and sticky pine. Palate follow with a big juicy hop profile lots of sweet tropical fruit bordering on sticky but the bitter orange peel and grass notes clean up the finish nicely !

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2014 Sample at CBC 2014, and bottle at Mikkeller Bar a couple of days after. Pours clear amber with a tan head. Aroma of massive citrus hops, with light grassy aspects and tropical fruit, balancing perfectly against a soft caramel malt backbone. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Excellent!
