4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
(355ml bottle from Mikkeller and Friends Webshop) Pours a quite hazy pale orange with a dense, fairly persistent white cap and thick lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, orange peel, peach, mango, cut grass, leafy, slight pine resin, crisp and slightly sweet malt body. Juicy on the palate with orange and grapefruit at the centre, mango, grass, pine needles, more complexity building to the finish, some passion fruit and other tropical fruits join in. Malt is lightly sweet with a hint of bread or cracker to it. Bitterness is very light until the finish and still quite light all the way through the aftertaste but with a citrus pith and soft pine quality. Finish and aftertaste bone dry, very minimal astringency. Medium body though still pretty crisp despite a soft creamy carb. Difficult to explain, just really nice quality and integration and balance for an APA. Flavours are admirably full for what can’t be a fresh bottle on this side of the pond. Really refreshing but interesting, would love to have this fresh on the regular. Super.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium frothy white head. Aromas of kiwi, peach, apricot, gooseberry, slight resin and pine scents. Has that very well balanced nose that might seem simplistic but oozes quakity. Taste is a very well balanced fruitiness with medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium carbonated with medium body. Very very good and I could very well drink this all the time. Such a shame that it’s all but unobtainable from Sweden.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A 12 fl oz bottle bottled on 15th June 2015 and poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a slightly hazy golden orange colour with a one finger white head that fades fairly quickly to a thin foamy layer but leaves lots of nice spotty lacing. Aromas are a nice mix of citrus and tropical fruits with orange, lemon, grapefruit, passionfruit and mango. There are also hints of pine here and there. Taste starts off tropical with mango and passionfruit leading the way in addition to hints of peach and apricot along the way. The finish is a nice lightly bitter grapefruit and orange pith. The balance between sweet and bitter here is perfect. Dry, crisp, light to medium bodied with mid to high carbonation. Overall, I loved it. Lived up to its hype and is in my opinion better than Zombie Dust. I really need to find more of this must buy beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle procured by Falco242. Pungent hop aroma like sticking your nose near a bag of hops. Hazy dark gold; thin ring of head. Incredibly well balanced. This is like a session IPA without the thinness. Not overly carbonated. I can understand the hype to a certain degree. It’s truly an impeccable APA. However I’m a little surprised beer geeks are going so nuts for a non-big beer. Maybe palates are maturing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of Hackobock. Thanks man! 3.5 months old according to the print on the bottle so expectations are rather low. Pours hazy tiny burnt deep yellow with a rather small offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sparse spotty trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and grassy with crackers, white bread, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, lychee, moist grass, pine needles, leek, orange zest and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter, fruity and grassy. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with crackers, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, star fruit, lychee, prickly pear, moist grass, pine needles, minerals and lemon zest. While its apparent the hops have faded from age this is still a damn good bright hoppy beer. No cardboard oxidation and pretty much the perfect malt base to give the hops room to shine. Basically drinks like bright tropical fruit juice. Hope to try this fresh at some point. I suspect it’ll blow me away.
