This single hop pale ale showcases the Citra hop for a well balanced beer that is delicate in body with a mild bitterness in the finish. She roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. pseudoSue’s unique and addictive taste is clean and bright with just enough bite!

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Can pour - clear orange with a frothy white head that maintains a ring throughout the drink - mild lacing. Aroma is citra hop forward, yet not overpowering - hint of piney hops as well...malt working in the background - nice stuff, albeit not particularly remarkable. Flavor is a bit more mild on the bitterness scale than anticipated...again, the citra hops shine...biscuity malt in the background - finishes with a strong dose of bittering hops. Palate is medium bodied and appropriate for a style. Maybe a bit disappointed with the expectations provided by the percentile on RB, but all in all this is a solid APA...nothing more...nothing less.

Can, 16oz. Sparkling clear golden with a frothy/creamy offwhite head . Sharp citrus and tropical hoppy aromas. Medium bodied, moderate to fizzy carbonation. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Intense fruity flavors into a stinging finish. Unique and amazing.

Can, 1 pint. Hazy golden beer with a small white head. Fruity aromas, especially of guava, hops and citrics. Taste is moderately bitter and moderately sweet. Light to medium bodied with some carbonation and astringency. Very sweet aftertaste and very fruity, especially of guava and papaya.

Canned 01/29/2016 - Pleasant fruitiness e.g. orange/tangerine from both the hops & fermentation. Clean balanced bitterness with just a touch of graininess. Lighter side of medium bodied. Finishes juicy & refreshing. Cheers!

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate tropical fruits, mango, mild citrus, and dank hops It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus and faint tropical fruits. The finish has grapefruit, lemon peel, and dank hops. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

16 oz can. Lots of citrus aroma and citrus, pine resin and some pepper on the taste. Malt balance is perfect for a pale ale, but with the relative intensity of the hops, it would be spectacular if it had a bit more malt sweetness (though I guess that would make it of an IPA). Reminds me a lot of Three Floyds Zombie Dust.

Aroma is very citrusy and reisiny. Appearance is a golden yellow color. Flavor is malty and bitter. Some orange peel, lemon, and some lime? Overall a great pale ale.

Foamy head that disappears quickly the beer is light golden with a bit of haze. Sweet aroma with slight fruit, bit of malt and a hint of dank. the taste is piney with grape and some sweetness. Im getting som mango but is also sensing some malty sweetness. The end is bitter with a good balance. The aftertaste is plesant. The can is 6 month old. Perhaps it has lost some of the fruityness. A Nice beer that is easy to drink.. its in good balance but does not seem that complex. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated transparent yellow orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
