COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This single hop pale ale showcases the Citra hop for a well balanced beer that is delicate in body with a mild bitterness in the finish. She roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. pseudoSueís unique and addictive taste is clean and bright with just enough bite!

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2016 From Labirratorium. In Teky glass. Watching Vinkings 4x10. Amazing in all aspects, but specially on texture, oily, with each sip filling your mouth completely, and very balanced. One of those brews that causes you great sorrow when then glass have finally em! ptied

I think of this as a west coast style pale ale, though of course that makes little sense geographically. Nonetheless, it reminds me of the balance and drinkability of a Sierra Nevada with the tropical and citrus fruit turned up to 11. Very enjoyable.

Cans. Post-10K race beer. Pours a deep hazy amber body with thick lacing. Notes of dusty citrus, juicy hop profile, melon and strawberry. For a 7-week old can, not too bad.

Canned 03/22/16. Pours medium opacity honey orange, off-white frothy head. Aroma is an excellent example of citra single hop. The orange, tangerine, mango, thereís a bit of peach I wanna say, definitely a nice sugar sweetness to it, pine, slightly floral, nice tropical fruit too. Iím astounded at the complexity of this for a single-hop. Iím not sure what the malt bill is, but this is exceptional smelling. Flavor is wow, a lot of pine and dankness. Itís like a dank christmas tree, mango, grapefruit, orange, slight sweetness. Iíve had a lot of "great" hoppy beers. Some are highly rated probably because of their balance. Two hearted IPA, Stone IPA, NoDa Hop Drop ní Roll. Theyíre excellent IPAs, but not because they pop, because theyíre balanced. I totally expected this to just be a regular balanced APA with some orange and nice citrus notes. I really didnít expect this complex and phenomenal beer. Iím not sure why itís an APA vs. an IPA, but thatís for another time. Itís really impressed me so much more than I expected it to. Other than Hill Farmstead Mosiac Single hop, this is the next best APA Iíve had I think at this point. Cheers to you, PseudoSue.

475 ml can, canned Jan 16, courtesy of Werckmeister, many thanks!
Golden-amber, medium hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, apricot, orange, passion fruit, pineapple, some flowers, some pine, biscuit.
Taste follows this, with some more grapefruit.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, medium dry, with long-lasting piney and citric notes.

Really tasty. Very fresh, crisp and easy drinkable, with loads of lovely citric notes. Great showcase for one of my favourite hop variants, straight, perfectly balanced, with just enough malt body. Not my favourite APA (at least at 4 months old), but just how I want this style.

Hazed, light amber color with a tallish cream colored head. Grapefruit, pithy orange, pure raw hops, and hints or caramel malt. If you light fresh hops scents, this is for you. I would prefer a bit more malt and balance, but it is what it is. Soft feel. Light pine, red grapefruit, mild peaches and hint of circus peanuts. I like the freshness, but am trying to understand the ďloveĒ for this one. Perhaps a bit of underdog appreciation, as I remember the love for other small local upstart. Donít get me wrong, a well brewed hoppy ale, but 4+? Iím struggling. Raw barley and vanilla lurk in the back ground. Some tea and lemon in the linger. 4/14
