This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Bottle and served in my GI IPA tulip: Pours a mostly clean golden hue with a nice head and fantastic lacing. Man this is juicy with mango , pink grapefruit and pineapple along with a dash of hop spiciness too. Mostly clean malt profile of biscuit and Vienna where it looks as if they used US01 yeast. Not overly aggressive mouthfeel but it sure ain’t soft nor bashful either. Like the label says "just enough bite", moderate metallic notes on the finish kept that from being a 5. Overall I like this a lot and for something Citra driven that is high praise from me. Meets the hype!

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2014 Pours a rather cloudy, golden yellow with minimal head. Aroma and flavor are full of tropical, mango, citrus. Strong mango notes in the flavor, especially and I moved back and forth from this one to some of the other samples in my flight. This one really stood out.
