This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Pours hazy amber with low white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, grapefruit and passion fruit. Taste is light resin bitter with mango sweet finish. Light smooth body with soft carbonation. Perfect drink after the Mikkeller beer run!

From a bottle into a glass. The pour is a cloudy yellow above average c02 with a white head. This beer taste like juicy mangoes and hops.

Again EricTeusink hooking up the dope IPAs for this tasting. And this was one of the best i’ve had. Pine and citrus in the nose. Juicy citrus fruits and apricot and mango with touches of pine in the taste. Good body. Real nice.

Bottle from trade. Pours turbid, murky orange, with a thin head - it’s an ugly beer. Aroma is great though, straight-up fresh mango with some ripe peach in there too. Medium carbonation, full and oily mouthfeel, very drinkable. Rich, sweet mango, a pronounced malty sweetness but enough hop presence to make the sweetness fruity and feel like drinking pure juice. Apricot, mango, peach flavours throughout. Bitterness is proportionate. An excellent beer that recalls - but doesn’t quite beat - Kernel Citra.

22oz bomber from some pretty cool neckbeards drank on Easter. Poured a an almost milky looking orange body with an average sized dense foamy bright white head. Aroma is juicy citrus fruits, dry toast, touch of honey sweetness, citrus and tropical fruit rinds. Medium to fuller body, average carbonation and an aftertaste that starts dry but a subtle sweetness lingers. Flavor mimics the aroma. Really nice pale ale.

Aroma is intense. Tropical and fruity. Really entertaining. Flavor is solid as well. Good balance a little more pine on the flavor. Awesome.

Pours orange-gold with a small white head. Aroma is mango and tangerines - maybe a little grapefruit. Taste is all of the above right upfront followed by beautiful grainy malts that start making their appearance in the mid. All is perfectly balanced with an easy bitterness all the way to the finish. Awesome! Blend midwestern wheatfields with the tropics and you should ’get’ this APA.

Strong aromatics! Peaches, melons, some mint, lychee. Zesty. Minty and tropical on the tongue. Incredibly soft on the palate with a juicy hop attack that leaves fruit on the palate. Not a hop onslaught, just tons of hop flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle pours a hazy tan color with a bit of head. Nice well balanced hop profile. Gets a little diluted at the end.

4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom. Consumed on 3-21-15. Supplemented by a 16 oz. pour later. Pours a creamy, cloudy, opaque, light orange-ish, golden tan. Beige head. Looks cool. Musty, dusty aroma; armpit scent. Strong, fresh, piney smell. Piney, grassy, herbal taste. A touch of lemon, grapefruit, and blood orange. Fresh lemonade and lemon-flavored vitamin flavors. The malts are quite light. Really pleasant hoppiness. Nice, pungent taste. Wet dirt finish. Lingering pine needle and herbs. Herbal, dry aftertaste. Soft in the palate. Reasonably lively and a bit chewy. Palate effects are slightly above average but not awesome; the aftertaste elevates the palate effects. Very nice beer, one of the better APAs I have had, with a good set of hops. That said, it didn’t utterly blow me as it does some people. I slightly preferred the similar Easy Rider Pale Ale in the same flight. Gets a bit boring upon many sips, costing it a point in overall score.
