COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Thanks to reeceg for the trade of this. Absolutely amazing beer. The aroma was very fruity and I could smell and taste the grapefuit. This was the 7% version and it went down very smooth. Beautiful appearance and left some nice lacing all down the glass as I drank. Taste was superb! I was left wanting more after I finished this and itís a must try for any fan of APA.

Simply the best. Very clean and crisp. Malts really let those citrus flavored citra hop shine. I have yet to have a better APA. And I have been trying pretty hard.

Bomber from trade. Huge thanks! Pours clear golden with a hint of orange and a beautiful creamy fluffy white head. Aroma of big Citra hops, pineapple mango grapefruit, grass and piney notes, sweet honey. Oh yes. The flavor. Oh my god. Lightly sweet maltiness with massive pineapple mango hop presence, very light bitter. Some super raw hop vegetal notes. Juicy and resinous, easy going, medium plus carbonation , lightly dry finish. Oh my lord. I got goosebumps when this first hit my lips. Expected this to be very good but maybe not quite live up to the hype. I was wrong--this is essentially perfect. I don't know where to knock any points off at all.

Love this beer. Excellent hop-forward APA. Would drink this beer all of the time if available in Illinois. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 Poured from a bomber given to us at DLD. Quite unexpected. Dark orange with a white head Aroma is sweet hoppy. Flavor is grapefruit perfection with pineapple. Seems to even have a ever so slight cucumber hiding there in the finish. WOW-o-WOW Balanced well to the palate. Well done!!

Pours a light orange with nice tight foam. The citra hops really come through in the aroma, lots of grapefruit and tangerine. Again the citra comes through strong in the taste, but leaves room to play with the light malt notes. The finish leaves you with more citrus but is very clean. This is a very session able beer.

TheAlum strikes again! Pours a lightly hazed golden color, nice white head. Citrus, hops, juicy as fuck, vibrant resinous piney notes. Just fucking incredible.

One of the best pale ales you can find. Love the single hop focus, love citra hops. Fresh this is amazing, but even a month old it still rocks. Believe the hype, this is a great beer.

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2014 Update: Another growler from Casanova, 2 hours after fill. Aroma is off the charts - dank, melon, citrus, pine. The taste on this stays so smooth and drinkable, with a mellow kick up front of this wonderful dank melon citrus combined with a dry grassy rusticness. Its greatest strength is how it maintains a friendly drinkability while staying flavorful and interesting. Just shy of perfect because I think my ideal beer would be an IPA version of this beer - almost identical but with slightly more vibrancy and intensity. I canít imagine a better APA than this. Drinkable to the extreme. I could drink a growler of this in about 5 minutes.

Another growler from Casanova, less than 4 hours after fill. This is the 7% version, which TG had said is a one-time deviation from the 6% standard. My new rating is a combination of both experiences. Pours a hazy golden orange with giant white head that fades to a film leaving a curtain of great lacing down the glass. Aroma is a tropical fruit bomb, dank with mango, tangerine, and fresh-cut pine mixed in. Taste follows suit with more tropical fruit, pine resin, and slight grassy bitterness. It finishes clean and the bitterness ends mildly, leaving you ready for more and making this relatively sessionable, especially for 7%. Palate is medium-light bodied and smooth. Maybe Iím just a sucker for Citra hops, but this might be my new favorite beer. 10+5+9+5+19=4.8 (3/4/14)

Growler from Casanova in Hudson, less than 24 hours after fill. Pours a clear golden orange with lasting white head and perfect lacing. Aroma is plenty of dank citrus with grass, pine, and pale malts. Taste is a bold continuation of the juicy citrus, with some bitter pineapple, pine and grass up front. Then, just enough richness from the malts to keep it from being overly resinous. Finishes juicy, then bitter, with lip-smacking pine resin. Crisp and ideal bitterness, with the aroma assisting all the way down the glass. Best APA Iíve had, and most nuanced lower ABV beer Iíve had. Outstanding. 10+5+9+4+18=4.6 (1/1/14)

Thank you Mike! Boy you werenít kidding super fresh taste. Rich and fluffy head. Clouds of pleasure. Tons of sediment (if you stir it) A lot like Heady Topper only not as strong. Pour is slightly hazy gold with a medium white head. Flavor and aroma are exploding with wonderful citrus hop notes of mango, grapefruit, and passion fruit. Light malt backbone too. Faint pepper in the finish, really really good. Is it really a Pale ale though? Fabulous! Got any more Mike???
