This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

Bomber thanks to joshmcg000. Slightly hazy gold pour with a 2 finger, creamy off white head that has good retention and leaves a little lacing. Aroma is loaded with tropical fruit, sweet citrus and some pine, small amounts of perfumey floral notes. A little toast, biscuit and maybe a hint of caramel are there if you really stick your nose in it, but mostly just awesome, fruity hops. Flavor is similarly full of tropical fruit, lots of pineapple and passion fruit, some nice ripe melon, citrus and a hint of pine. Aside from hoppy, fruity notes there are light, but pleasant notes, of biscuit, caramel, toast, sweet apple, a little bread and just enough minerality to the finish to give it a pleasant crispness. Medium body, with a nice, creamy entry, moderate strength, blanketing carbonation and off dry, crisp finish. Fantastic, beer, perfectly drinkable, nearly flawless execution and loaded with hops. After reviewing Zombie Dust a few days ago and this little gem today, I may be a bit spoiled on Citra APAs. Thanks Josh!

Damn nice. Again, tonight, with the Citra hops, and a runner up to my last brew, but very, very close. Everything about this is almost dead on to the previous beer. Nice head, almost creamy, with great retention. The aroma nails it and the color is pleasantly apricot and a bit hazy, with some stickiness on the glass. The taste is mildly bitter, but with great flavor to buoy the bite. The body is a little light for me. Id rather it had a touch more body. Still, Id buy this regularly without hesitation.

APA's don't get much better than this. The citra hop shines as it imparts its citrus smell and flavor. The malt balances well with the hops and allows for just the right amount of bitterness. It pours a beautiful orange color with a good amount of chalk white head that laces the glass lightly all the way down. World class beer!!!

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a small, white head. Aroma has lots of citra hops, mosaic, dank, fresh hops, citrus, slight peach, mango, passion fruit, sweet orange and tangerine. Taste is juicy hoppy, but with very little bitterness. Pale ale malts, fairly sweet, but not in the caramel-way. Slightly floral as well. Average carbonation and a smooth body.

Appearance: Deep gold, with a fluffy off white head that quickly dissipates. Slight haze. Aroma: Tons of citrus, subtle evergreen notes. Body: Lighter bodied then some other pale ales I have had before, but still medium overall. Carbonation: Medium plus carbonation Flavor: Beer is very well balanced, but is defiantly hop forward as it should be per the style. Much like the aroma, but with a little more evergreen present and not as much citrus. Some nice pale malt characteristics in the middle. Finish: Some lingering citrus and grapefruit in the aftertaste. No dryness. Some bitterness but nothing crazy. Overall: This beer is an upper echelon American Pale Ale, that features the Citra hop phenomenally! Must try!

Definitely smell and taste the mango. This beer is incredibly refreshing. I do feel this beer hits and tastes more like an IPA than a Pale but overall a great brew.
