COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This single hop ale showcases the Citra hop. Named for the largest T-rex fossil ever discovered, she roars with ferocious aromas of grapefruit, citrus, mango and evergreen. Delicate in body with a mild bite in the finish.

Admin Note: Previously brewed as a 5.8% ABV offering, current and future batches are listed at 7% ABV per a tweak and translating the beer to a larger 30 bbl system. Tweaks may continue to change this ABV slightly as they settle on an official end product.

(22oz bottle) Pours a golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange, and florals. Flavor of grass, pineapple, grapefruit, pine, and caramel with a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle to glass. Pours a clear golden color with an offwhite head. Aroma is faint fleshy fruit, floral hops, with a touch of caramel sweetness. Flavor is a good mild bitter with a some fleshy fruit hop sweetness. Light to medium in body, and maybe a little heavier than what I’d expect for an APA. Tasty, but not sure #2 is appropriate. This is good, but Zombiedust is phenomenal.

On tap at brewery. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a white head. Aroma has big dank and citrusy hops and some caramel. Taste is very hoppy with dank and citrusy flavors, as well as a pleasant wild onion taste. Some cracker malt and moderate pine/floral bitterness. Finishes semi dry. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very good, unique taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear light amber with a foamy white head, streaks of lace. Taste is malt with a bit of orange, maybe light spice, that is upended by a wave of pine hops. The hops aren’t particularly strong, but they are bitter, and cover the rest. The finish is the deal breaker - all comes to an early abrupt end with the memory of pine lingering for a only a short while.

WL bomber rec’d from 2014 summer SS - MUCH thanks. I have now had 3 of top ten pale ales - liked Maine Beer MO and 3F alpha king more than this one - but definitely not my style - I see what others find and perhaps this is too subtle of a beer for me - not much aroma - maybe some citrus or mango in flavor - it is NOT hoppy, so that is a positive; but just not that much happening here - a little hops and tart dryness at end. give me a bock please

Bottle, thanks to Johnny Nepal! Gold pour with a small head. Honeyed herb. Apricot tart. Lemon and tilled earth. Sweet honeyed white bread. Pear and peach. Dry finish. Somewhat chalky. Great.

On tap at brewery. Pours a hazy dark golden with a white head and good lacing. Aroma has big dank and citrusy hops and some caramel. Taste is very hoppy with dank and citrusy flavors. Some light honey and just a bit of cracker malt and moderate bitterness. Finishes semi dry. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very nice hoppy character with a light malt backbone. Manages to have a unique hop flavor in a sea of pale ales.

On draft at the brewpub. An orangish golden color with a half finger white head that diminishes down and sits around the rim. Smells of citrus predominantly orange, dank hops as it warms, caramel malt, honey. Taste is a sharp floral citrus hop bitter that balances with some caramel malt, honey sweetness that ends with cracker bready yeast and more bitter that sits on the tongue. Unique hop flavors and taste overall. Bought a growler to go. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Didn't smell very hoppy. Slight hop aroma and a lot of malt. Not a bad pale ale. But I don't think this lives up to the rating. Might have been old. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled: unk Pours golden with a decent central dome with a etched periphery. Smells legit - grapefruit, some mango, some hints of BO and tangerine. Flavor follows through beautifully: sweet malts, some crackers, some lovely citrus on the flavor, some nice tropical tones. Medium body with a juicy finish and good carb. Great beer. There is a good orange finish I keep getting.

Pale gold body with a medium statured off white head with good retention and some spotty lace. Nose is danky, sweaty and fruity, slight tropical. Body is medium, soft carbonation, lil juicy and resiny, sorta thick for a Pale ALe. Juicy hop flavors, citrus, pee and a hint of pine. Dry pale malts sorta balance it out. Slick finish, tame bite. Bit heavy in body for the style, still interesting though. Bomber from Johns Grocerie. Thanks for yer help Andrew.
