4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Fresh 22 oz bottle at 7%. Misty orange with a white head. Nose is preserved lemon, toffee and marjoram. Oily with a fluffy mouthfeel finishing with tiny carb prickles. Taste is tangerine, spruce, citrus honey and peel. Big for a Pale ale with a creative take on the style. Iíd put this just behind Walden (a session IPA now?) and the King.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle at Toppling Goliath tent at Hunahpuís Day 2014. Pours an orangey gold with a fair amount of white head. Head held pretty well, and there was a medium collar, not much lacing. Aroma and taste were citrusy and lightly tropical. I honestly drank this so quick I couldnít get a fair assessment. By the time I went back for another pour, it was already out. Surprisingly light and refreshing mouthfeel, slight bitter bite.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another reminder, for me, that Citra isnít my thing even if itís a pretty damn impressive hop in the right recipe. Aroma is juicy melony/mango, flavor is extremely straightforward melon juice which isnít the worst thing in the world but doesnít offer the flavors I love in a Pliny or Duet. Really well-made beer, but not something I find incredibly drinkable due to the straightforward flavor profile.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy amber/straw color. Big mango on the nose but otherwise mild for a citra single hop.. Palate is great. Drinkability is high here but itís rather mild hop-wise with little bitterness - I usually never want too much bitterness. Here I could use some. Pretty orangy or kumquatty too.. Great pale ale none the less. #IOWA represent!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle thanks to Wrye, damn, thanks again! Pours a nice and clear deep golden with light white head. Aroma is peach and mango for a mile with a slight resinous citra hop character. Taste is mango puree through and through. Wow. Pale ale?! The peach really opens up and a nice bitter hop character emerges as the beer warms. Not sure why I let it warm in the least. This beer is hands down the best APA Iíve ever had. Zombie Dust? PFFF! The Midwest has definitely cornered the marked on APAs it seems.
