3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2011 I need to homer these guys more. Hazy golden pour with a small white head. Juicy citrus and resin hop aroma. Flavor is the same, very little hint of a malt background in this. Maybe a touch of honey and Graham cracker if I look for it. Aggressively bitter finish, but it hit the spot.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Light orange hue, chill haze. Aroma is TG yeast, very citrusy hops, passionfruit, some faint grapefruit. Taste is clean, nice bittering. Flavor is very citrusy, lots of that passionfruit flavor. Awesome carbonation, mouthfeel is full. Very resiny finish. Another solid IPA.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Fairly hazed, bronzed orange color with a small, compact, light, fluffy white head. Disappears fairly fast leaving only faint patchy lace.
S - Very strong citrus/tropical fruit hop aroma. Grapefruit, peach, hints of passionfruit. Very inviting. Touches of sweet bready and cereal malt.
T - More bitter than the nose suggested, but other than that very similar. Huge citrus hop flavors with a background sweet cereal malt. Resinous and bitter flavors come in pretty strong on the finish.
M - Medium body with average carbonation. Pretty smooth but has a strong, crisp bitter finish.
D - Lovely hop flavors with just enough malt for balance. A touch too bitter and hoppy for me to consider it overly drinkable, but the wonderfully juicy hop flavors make me want more.
Notes: On-tap at Sanctuary. Very enjoyable DIPA. Alcohol is pretty much non existant and even though there is a strong bitterness, it isn’t over the top. Galaxy hops are very well displayed. Another great IPA by Toppling Goliath.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: massive citrus, floral, pine sap and resin, a bit of malt. Golden pour, quite hazy, thin white head. Flavor: highly bitter, both in the front and the finish, grapefruit and sticky/resiny, some malty sweetness. Medium body and carbonation. Solid brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color with a thin white head. Smelled of distinct grapefruit, subdued peach, and a bit of cereal grain. Light to medium bodied and dryish with fairly assertive bitterness. Lots of hop with a relatively weaker pale malt backbone. Pine and grapefruit rind flavors with tar and resiny notes toward the end. If you like your DIPA’s tilt toward hop and away from malt, you might like this one.
