3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy orange. Aromas are very sweet and tropical. Watermelon, mango, bubblegum....a bit of piney/skunk. Taste is pretty sweet as well. More tropical fruit, sweet malt, minimal hop bitterness. I like this one. It’s a bit more aggressive than the blue I had. Looking forward to the XHops mixture of a few of these, if not all.

Bottle. Smells like packing peanuts. I have no clue how TG can make a beer so damn cloudy. moving on. pours a small white head with various size of white bubbles cloudy as a hefe light orange. soft malt in the nose, but it’s still kinda cold. Taste is weird. whoa. kinda like a spicy, herby, minty thing going on here. can’t quite place the exact hop flavor. damn, wish I had more of the blue. Well made solid beer, just a very weird hop flavor going on there. still better than most pale ales

Pours a cloudy orange with a small head. Light hoppy sour smell. Had an orange citrus flavor. Not much normal hop taste. Mostly citrusy. Its ok. Just drank pseudoSue so this one had a lot of pressure to measure up, but doesn’t.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Pours hazy golden with a huge foamy off-white head. Nose is dank and sticky, with garlic/onion hops, melon, pear, papaya, and a bit of pine. Dry bread malt body stays in the background and lets the hops shine. Taste is all hops too, with a pale biscuity malt body and lost of onion/garlic hops. Some tropical fruit tries to peek through, but it’s drown out by some grassy hops. A little too dank for me, but it was still pretty tasty. Slick and medium-bodied.

Hazy gold with an off white head. Aroma of very sour diesel, grapefruit, apricot, burnt tires, and passionfruit. Pretty bitter and a touch sweet, more than most TG brews. The tire fire aroma was less distracting as the beer warmed. Good,

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2014 22oz bomber courtesy of Ryan and Peter. Another phenomenal APA from Toppling Goliath. Hazy orange body, big frothy, soapy head. Tangerine, mango, papaya..big tropical tones. A healthy does of the green onion, garlic thing going on too. Just an absolute pleasure to drink on, with fascinating hop nuances. I much prefer this one to the simultaneously released Blue. World Class. Really shows off the hops. Awesome stuff.

Pours a light gold color, nice pine on the nose, nice bitterness up front with a slight citrus finish, pretty good overall, red is the winner so far for me
