3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle [from trade with mista] @ Kings Day Tasting 2014 shared with Dutchdrebus. Pretty hazy light orange color, full sized a bit rocky off-white head that lasts for quite some time. Aroma is malts, hops, citrus, some tropical fruits. Hops and fruitiness get more prominent after the beer warms up a bit. Taste malts, nicely hoppy and fruity. The fruit hops flow into in very nice suitable not over the top bitterness in the finish which makes the beer very enjoyable. Still I feel the beer should have a bit more alcohol, for instance 7%, to give it a bit more body. Aroma and flavorwise itís certainly an IPA, but the body imo is just a little shy of what it should be. Nevertheless this is a very enjoyable beer!

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Via trade with Reece. Another finely crafted brew from Toppling Goliath. The aroma was amazing, kind of reminded me of the dank smell that Stone Enjoy by has with a nice citrus burst. Color was a murky yellow with a fluffy white head and some nice lacing all down the glass. Flavor was complex with dirt, earth, citrus (LEMON) zest, grapefruit, and grass. Perfect drinking on one of our warmer days in a long time. LOW ABV as well, so youíre not going to get toasted polishing one off yourself.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle acquired via trade with ReeceG! Murky 14 karat pour with a tightly packed ivory crown. Dusty, dirty, earthy citrus with some peel, pith, and zest accompanied by a hint of honey. Some grassiness as well. Flavorful when ABV is considered. Another wonderful brew from TG. Not as complex as others but you kind of expect it from a single hop IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: Really thick and bubbly creamy two finger head. Thick orange and copper color that has a thick haze.
S: Really amazing aroma, now I see where people get that white wine like aroma from Nelson. White wine/grape upfront with some tropical pineapple that fades into a nice piney scent. Also get some fresh cut apple and some faint dankness.
T: Sturdy bitterness upfront with a nice white wine like quality. Then it has some dank pine. Really crisp. Some weird chalkiness though.
M: Medium-bodied, crisp and dry. Chalky.
O: Really nice beer, really nice showcase of the Nelson Sauvin hops.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours cloudy yellow.-with white head. Aroma citrus, pine. Taste kind of muddy with orange pulp, pine, some malts. Finish dull bitterness. A bit disappointed in this after reading the reviews.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Approximately 16 oz. pour from a 22 oz. bottle. Yeasty but mostly hoppy aroma is floral, juicy, piney, dry, and dank. Scents of wet dirt, cat urine, white grape juice, white wine, apple juice, tonic water, the forest, and crackers. Hoppy, appealing, and very nice smell. Pours a hazy, milky, light orange to brass color. Moderate to large amount of thick, uneven, long-lasting, cream-colored head. Thick, long-lasting lacing. Looks great and different from most beers. Dry, dirt-y taste features flavors of lemonade, light vinegar, rose wine, watermelon bubblegum, peach, and apricot. Long, dry finish and aftertaste. Medium body. Soft in the palate. A pretty good aftertaste but otherwise a subpar and forgettable, insubstantial palate. Toppling Goliath ZeeLander is quite nice, enjoyable, and reasonably complex. I was going to say itís my kind of beer, but it is one of this new breed of profoundly pleasant, gentle, floral IPAs, a trend that has this long-time IPA lover a bit concerned. It is a well done example of that style, and I have had other well done ones (most notably Dangerous Man Every Minute IPA), but, overall, I prefer my hops drier, piney-er, and more bitter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Thanks, Jason! Super hazy sunburst body, approaching full opacity with a foamy, slow settling, off-white head that leaves nice spots of generous lacing behind. Aroma is mixture of dank & earthy hops with a strong undercurrent of tropical fruit peels, mango, pine, & hop oil. The taste is stationed with a solid base of dry cracker malt; notes jump out of dank hops, wet grass, green onion, hemp, tangerine peels, mango flesh, & a light, earthy bitterness that bites softly, lingering into the finish. Dry overall, a little hint of dank citric fruit peels left in the aftertaste. A great IPA, no doubt about that.
