Ipa with New Zealand Nelson hops.
This zeelicious single hop IPA showcases the rare Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. Delightfully confusing aromas of citrus and mandarin oranges give way to an incredibly complex body of earth tones and marigolds. This is truly like any hop you’ve ever tasted.

Bottle as an amazing trade extra. Pours hazy yellow golden with a big fluffy creamy white head. Incredible aroma of pineapple, mango, pine, and hay. Just perfect aroma. Flavor follows with big juicy pineapple and tropical fruits, medium bitter, juicy. Wow. Medium light bodied and incredible flavor for 5.5%. These guys just need to replace every other brewery on the planet so I can drink it all the time. This hit the spot.

Bottle, shared with some brahs at Bills tasting. Pours hazy golden, with small white head. Notes are super clean cheese skunk funk. Straight Nelson brings the dankness every time. Glad it wasn’t sweet and a nice alcohol pct to crush on.

Shared bottle by a friend. Poured a clear yellow colour with a white head. Lot of orange, mandarin, citrus, orange zest, fresh cut grass, some grapefruit. very Nice and mellow sweet aftertaste. Just a slightly bitterness. The mandarin jumps right in your face as you keep drinking it

Bottle thanks to Minh. Pours a cloudy gold with a small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong floral hop, pine, hemp. Medium mouth, light pine, light resin, clean finish. Very nice.

Pours a medium golden color with three fingers of white foam. Nose is a complex blend of floral straw, clementine, dusty grain and marigold flowers. Palate follows with lots of earthy complexity. Dusty straw, power of suggestion maybe but marigolds is spot on as well as nasturtium flowers, some citrus peeks through and some cracker malts. Not completely my cup of tea but a well done New Zealand bomb !

Pours a real light cloudy yellow/gold with a nice white head. Strong citrus aroma, grapefruit and maybe another grapefruit. Upfront bitterness than a citrus taste, unique. This taste different than other citrusy IPA’s, its almost like the flavors are coming out of order last to first. This is good, but isn’t all TGB beers really good?

Gentlest haze to this pale gold, and a calm, staying sheath of white. Pure Nelson aroma of crushed garlic, dandelion, and yellow bell pepper. The peppery, weedy intonations generally drown out the golden kiwi, white peach and green banana fruit that are quietly present. It gets adhesive-forward at times, but the hop presentation is pure and intoxicating and stunning.

The dandelion glue is by far the most ostentatious voice in the flavor; this attributes a false syrupy sensation. Mango skin and other tropical fruit notes can be found clinging to the corners, while citrus pith, white spruce, and rosemary round out the generally pungent body.

Weirdly, this is texturally heavy and syrupy, with both raw sugar and bitter oils contributing to a generally burdensome feel. Garlic oil, weed, and dank, earthy funk seem to surround the rest and slowly drown it in a rough, bullish display. The finish is too crystalline and damp for my taste, but this is still an excellent, praiseworthy creation.

On tap at Dexter’s Pub in Madison, on GTMW eve. Clear golden orange color. Thin off-white ring of head. Good dots of lace. Awesome big tropical citrus grapefruit hop aroma. Very light caramel malt. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp lighter carbonation. Kind of slick. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Moderate sweet. Awesome super hoppy pale ale.

Bottleshare in Asheville. Super dank and fresh-smelling. Concentrated green biomass, tropical undergrowth. Some medicinal pear and star fruit. The taste is pretty brash and acerbic. Mango, melon, grapefruit meat. Sea grass. Medium body, active carbonation. Very tasty.

Growler from Casanova. Hazy golden Orange. Big-time fruity aroma, oranges and tropical fruit, pineapple. Taste is a bit on the green side but light malt heavy backend hops, very good.
