Ipa with New Zealand Nelson hops.
This zeelicious single hop IPA showcases the rare Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. Delightfully confusing aromas of citrus and mandarin oranges give way to an incredibly complex body of earth tones and marigolds. This is truly like any hop youíve ever tasted.

Growler. Medium and very hazy apricot colored pour, spotty head and a really nice aroma of fresh oranges and peaches. Flavor is dry and bitter woody peaches and grapefruit and just enough malt to stand up to some good creamy bitterness on the finish. Pretty damn good, and a steal at $10 for a growler fill.

Bitter orange peel, slight pine, sharp onionish finish. Pours a cloudy orange color, foamy white head. Citrus, oranges, biscuit notes on the finish. Mild bitterness, juicy on the mid pallate, hoppy finish. As a single hop Nelson Sauvin Iíve never had it displayed itís way, great beer none the less.

Had at the source, received in a pint glass. 3.5 A: Well hazed orange with a touch of brown. Came nearly full but it did leave a short ring of lacing. 4.0 S: Dank resiny hops foremost with a strong orange and nondeScript citrus. Neutral maltiness. Secondarily grassy with just a touch of spice. 3.75 T: This has the most IBUs of any of their current offerings and it shows, though itís still only a heavy moderate bitterness. Clean neutral malts with strong grassy and resiny hop flavor. Underneath there is citrus and earthiness. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Like most of their brews, this is somewhat bity but super smooth overall. 3.75 D: Another solid beer, but so many hoppy pales and IPAs that Iím thinking I need a break! ★ 762 characters DavoleBomb, Dec 07, 2015

Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of soft white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was dank, earthy, greenery, and herbal. Sea weed came to mind. Also noted some rind, and citrus as orange. Light to medium bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste projected a light version of the aroma notes, added moderate, earthy bitterness, and light sweetness. Somewhat unique in an experimental way, but didnít wow.

22oz. Hazy golden. Tropical, mostly pineapple some pine. Malt is a little doughy in the taste and aroma. A little flabby, but this is really a quite well rounded ipa.

Pours a hazy golden yellow from the bomber with thin bubbly white head. Aroma of oxidized new world hops and light malt. Taste follows, a bit of funky gym sock and lemon. Better than the nose on the taste.
