Syrup aroma. Very sweet and slightly metallic. Not as clean and balanced as the German Schwarzbiers. Caramel flavour.

Bottle. Dark amber body with creamy tan head. Aroma has light caramel notes, hay, malty. Taste has medium caramel profile with earthy bitterness, little astringent after taste. Body is full, high carbonation. Actually, this is pretty good for the origin.

Tranquillity (1580) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 24, 2006
Slovak version, 0,5l bottle. Quite a good beer. Almost black with a head that disappears completely quite quickly. Aroma of keys in handsweat :) The taste is fulfilling, strong roasted coffee with something bittersweet that I can’t put my tongue on... The bitterness comes out stronger in the finish.

Loads of sweet malts in the nose, notes of caramel and some molasses. Very dark brown body, with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet flavor, notes of molasses, and a light burnt malt note, slightly thin finish.

BOTTLE 50CL from Cuso. Thanks, Imro. Look: almost black with red highlights and a medium beige frothy head. Aroma: dark malts, light roast, licorice, some caramel, chocolate, toast. Taste: quite rich, coffee, roasted malts, light sweetness balanced by hop bitterness, ashy finish. [backlog 20140214]

inbirraveritas (1394) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 25, 2013
Bottled, 500 ml. Ruby red/dark brown colour, big and relatively lasting beige head with thick lace. Smell of brown sugar, butter and mild roasted malt. The aroma contains the same escorted by brown bread, mouthfeel is slick. Somewhat yeasty and dry finish with burnt malt and some shy hints of grassy hops. Not bad.

Clear brown appearance, medium head. Roasted malt aroma, coffee on the mouth, some hops, not too much bitterness. Well balanced and good Dunkel style beer.
