500ml bottle from a Billa store in Bratislava. Tan-coloured head with lots of bubbles. Fragile lacing. Jet black body. Plain dark malty smell. Dark roasted, mid-sweet malts in flavour, as well as hints of liquorice. Mostly sweet malty to the ending. Quite possible to drink (Cabin at MS Rügen, 31.07.2012).

Lahev (diky, Cuso!): Deep to very deep amber coloured with ruby sparks, light sweetish coffeeish-toasty nose; thinnish sweet sweet-bitter flavour, really light bodied; watery finish. Too slim....

05/05 0.5 l bottle ogivlado brought from Bratislava, thanks for sharing! It poured a nice brownish body with medium sized ivory head. Roasted malt aroma, mainly burnt sugar and caramel. Flavor is light, slightly sweet caramel and candies, nicely balanced with oak and roasted sugar and bunch of coffee. Thinner in body though. Finish was short, a bit more bitter in roasted way than dunkels should be. All in all, not bad, pleasant and rather enjoyable.

Bottled 500ml. -from Tesco Zlate Piesky, Bratislava. Almost black coloured, medium sized pale beige head, mild roasty nose. Also mild roasty taste with notes of caramel and hint of coffee. Rather short sweetish finish. Nothing special here.

Ogi’s, from Bratislava. Poured a very dark amber body, almost black. Medium sized off white head that wnet away slowly. Very light nose, mainly coffee. Creamy raisiny taste ending slightly roasty. Light carboard, very light alcohol. Dull.. erm... corn? Didn’t like it in the end for some reason despite the relatively high rating.

Bottle. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate. Taste, milk chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, hints of coffee. Pleasant bittersweet finish. Little bit sweet for me, but drinkable.

500 ml bottle. From Cuso. Big thank you!
Dark reddish brown colour with small light tan head. Mildly roasted malt, dark bread, touch of chocolate and saw dust in aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, hints of chocolate, touch of hops and surprisingly quite a lot alcohol for 5.2% beer. Thinnish. Not a gem nor hopeless. Drinkable.

Sötétbarna szín, enyhén krémes, közepes nagyságú, nem annyira kitartó világosbarna habbal. Illata eléggé jellegtelen, kevés pörkölt malátás és aszalt szilvás, diós édesség. Ízileg inkább stimmel a dolog, pörkölt maláta, pörkölt magvak, kevés kakaó, de a komlós keserűség helyett inkább savanyú, ami nem illik a képbe. Lecsengése kávés, savanykás, utóíze barna kenyeres. A teste is elég vékonyka, túl vizes szerintem, egyébként száraz és a szénsavassága is rendben van. Nem a legjobb választás.

Absolutely opaque deep-brown beer with cream-to--brownish thick head. Dark malts, bit chocolatey, touch of plywood. Mild-sweet with very discreet chocolate, wood and liquorice hints. Bit wry finish, not bad, but a bit dull. Light MF, little in the way of aftertaste. Acceptable Dunkel. Many thanks to Peter V. for all the searching!

Bottle: Very dark brown color, brown, creamy head. Sweet malt, light roasty aroma, some notes of nuts and cookies. Flavor is also a bit sweet, grainy, malty, notes of molasse and roasted malt. Quite good balanced by a roasty, bitter finish. OK.
