Light amber in color with a moderate fruity and light spicy aroma derived from our Trappist yeast. The flavor of this medium-light bodied ale has a balanced fruity and biscuity malt taste with subtle hop bitterness. This session ale is an excellent introduction to Belgian style beers

Bottle. Cloudy cider color. Huge explosive off white head. Sour aroma. Sour flavor. Sour mouth feel. Couldnít tell if this was infected or an attempt at a Belgian sour. Based on reading the other ratings which mention nothing about sourness Iím going to assume that I just got an infected beer. This isnít the first infected beer Iíve ever run across, but the weird thing to me is that almost all the infected ones Iíve had have come from the east side of Michigan. Assuming that is just a coincidence, but its a strange coincidence.

Pours a sharp golden yellow orange color, clear with white frothy head. Nose has banana, some vinous qualities. Light body, caramel notes, fruity sweetness.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a rich amber orangish color with an almost nonexistant head. Aroma of biscuity malt, fruity belgian yeast. Flavor is spicey, fruity, nice belgian yeast note, but a bit watery. Watery mouthfeel. Finishes on a floral and fruity note. This has potential.

Slightly hazy amber and light copper coloured body with a ton of bubbles rising from the bottom, all with a nice one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, cereal, bread, a touch of coriander seed and a bunch of yeast. Medium-bodied; Assertive lemon and sour notes up front - very interesting and unexpected with some latter flavours of malt and curacao and a hint of sweetness. Aftertaste shows a bunch more sour notes, a lot of lemons, curacao, coriander seed and a hint of malt - no hops at all here, but the sour notes remain until the very end - nice, interesting and not really a belgie to me, but interesting, for sure. Overall, worth trying if you like sours or want a light summer beer - this one fits that bill exclusively. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 27-August-2013.

Seemed to be a favorite out of people I know that hit this brewery. It starts off good, like a decent pale ale, but the aftertaste/mouth feel was unpleasant to me. Though I know this is not a smoked beer, that feeling reminded me of them. No one else seemed to get that sense though. Another I will try again, if I can find single bottle...but as is, ranking it on lower side of average for my liking.

bottle. amber with minimal head. Ugh. pretty sure this isnt supposed to be sour, though I see the previous Untappd user had the same experience. Definitely tastes off. Drainpour.

Pale Golden color with nice head and nice lacing on the glass. Strong Belgian yeast notes and very drinkable. Excellant entry level beer to someone breaking into Belgian beers or just wanting a light smooth tasting Belgian.

Wow! I have found my new favorite beer. Light in color but still a very full bodied beer. Tried it on draft at the brewery then got a six pack.
