On tap at Town Hall during the RBSG 2007 Pub Crawl. Clear light golden body with a small frothy white head. Sweet grassy hops aroma. Grassy hops flavor with some light caramel in the end.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 nickd717 (3394) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 12, 2009
GABF 2009. Clear golden-orange color with a medium white head. Aroma is bready and caramel malt and citrusy and piney hops. Flavor is pale and caramel malt, a tiny bit of bread, earth, and piney/citrus hops. Hoppier than your typical English IPA from what I’ve had at least. Some light fruity notes. Body is medium and the finish is slightly dry. Overall pretty good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nuffield (3348) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - OCT 31, 2005
Hazy, deep amber with dense, rich, cream head. Sweet hoppy aroma, and a curious flavor, like fruity yogurt (perhaps raspberry), band-aids, and a-specific flowers. Smooth palate, as it was hand-pulled from a cask. Initially it had the qualities of a soft, light barleywine, emphasizing the hop/malt balance dimensions of such a comparison, but as it warmed, it went downhill, and I had some doubts about the murky vegetal flavors I got. (cask at brewpub)
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 NobleSquirrel (3286) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Draft at Town Hall. Pours a bright bronze with a fluffy whitish head. Big English malts pop up, as does a ton of EKG grassiness. Some light orange blossom and a hint of toffee peek through as well. Some light estery notes. On taste, firm bitterness and a distinct grassy note. Quite herbal, but a lot better than the Stone 14th was in terms using the hops. The yeast really ties it together and a firm malt backbone holds it up. Actually, not too bad, but the hops are not my favorite.

RBSG 2007. Golden body that looks a bit too filtered. Decent hop profile but seemed to have some floral qualities that distracted. Bitter palate. I didn’t finish it because there were better beers to be had.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jsquire (2953) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JUL 5, 2007
Out of a sampler at Town Hall at 07 RBSG. Foamy light beige head that left sticky lacing over a hazy amber beer. Sharp hop nose with some notiable alcohol. Fruity IPA with peach, apricot, orange peel, apple sauce and some pineapple notes.

Growler. Rating #74. I enjoyed this one while I was out fishing with the boys who all agreed that this was a stellar beer. Very nicely balanced. Real nice bitterness, but it was also quite drinkable. (2452)
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 18, 2007
On tap at the brewery. Hoppy nose with a sweet citrus tinge. Dark brown body with creamy white head. Mild hoppy body with dry hopped finish, kind of bitter without the refreshing characteristic I’d expect from a well done IPA or ESB. Good, but not great in this case.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 HonkeyBra (2483) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Sampled at GABF. Basically, I was yelling about how I wanted Masala Mama and they tried to use this to shut me up. Piney aroma with some caramel. Pretty hoppy flavor. I liked it alright.
