Oct 25, 2007 brown with a smallish off white head, aroma is of some malt but mostly hops. Flavour is of a chocolatey IPA, not a whole lot going on here, but it is quite good.

Oct 24, 2007 brown color with faint white head. Watery aroma with plenty of hop character bit not a lot of malt to it. Hippy body with a sweet tinge to it and a bitter finish.

Feb 12, 2007 Pours a clear deep reddish-brown or auburn color, with a thick mass of tan foam, at least 3" high. Solid lacing through and through. Mild hops in the aroma - much subtler than the flavor would suggest.
Let’s start with the malt - caramel, toffee, and a bit of dry grains. Then a prominently bitter taste kicks in, with lots of citrus and spicy hops. Ample body and carbonation. Excellent.
The beer finishes with the same bittering and spicy hops. There’s just a hint of a licorice flavor in the maltiness that I pick up in the aftertaste.
