Some big time sweet caramel/toffee scents. Taste is similar but the flavor is a bit muddled, hop pine bitter comes through.

Tap at the brewpub. Note that this is a different beer than the 15th Anniversary double IPA (both were actually on tap). Bartender says they make this birthday beer each year and mildly tweak the recipe - he calls this an imperial red, but says it isn’t exactly any one particular style. This is a clear amber pour with a white head. Bold hop profile with toffee and malt. Rich on all fronts. Tasty.
