COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our strongest, darkest and most heavy regular offering. It is virtually black in color and features rich roasted malt flavor with a delicate caramel and vanilla finish. It is carbonated and served with the use of nitrogen gas, giving the Black Water a beautiful cascading pour and thick, creamy foam atop your glass. Made with only the freshest American malts and English hops.

On tap at TH 20Aug2012, Of course it looks great, and smells great but the body is too thin, the oats dont seem to add much to make it smoother, fuller or creamier.. your average roast flavor makes this a solid beer but not superb

Solid stout. Roasty, with a nice mocha backbone shoring up a moderately sweet center. Mildly bitter lingering fade, with even more chocolate and coffee popping up. I could definitely use another one of these.

Sampler at the brewpub. It poured a very dark brown color with a thin foamy brown head. The aroma was of dark roasted grains and ripe plums. The taste was of roasted grains, almost smokey with ash, vanilla, chocolate and juicy fruits. A very decent Stout.

On tap at Town Hall. Dark black in colour with brown head. Thick and creamy, sweet and frothy. Very nice.

On tap at Town Hall. Perfectly black stout with thick tan head. Wonderful aroma of chocolate and coffee along with hazelnut. Very creamy, thick, and powerful tasting stout, having similar, though milder, flavors to much stronger imperial stouts but without the overwhelming hit of alcohol. Good bitterness balances the sweetness. Excellent, especially at its (in house) price.

On tap at Town Hall. Dark brown with ruby lowlights and a creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and fake chocolate. Body is a tad thin and tastes of semi-sweet roasted malt and mild chocolate but mostly just roasted barley and roasted malt. Finishes up a tad dry.

Growler courtesy of CLevar. Pours opaque black with thick tan head that sticks around leaving a lot of lacing. Aroma is Chocolaty with notes of coffee, and oatmeal cookies. Flavor is much the same with a full body and creamy palate

Black like a stout with tan head that disappears and no lacing, definitely no nitro. Smell is clean vanilla, milk and dark chocolate, not overly sweet, flavar starts thee same, becomes fairly lactic, smoky and woody amd bitter root or bark as it recedes....which is taking a very long time this one.

Oh black water, keep on rolling... Because you’re tasty and it’d be sad if you stopped!

On tap at the brewpub on August 11th. Poured as you’d expect, a dark brown/nearly black opaque pour. Went down very silky smooth, and had everything you’d want from a nice sweet stout - chocolate, some coffee, roastiness. Delicious.
