COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our strongest, darkest and most heavy regular offering. It is virtually black in color and features rich roasted malt flavor with a delicate caramel and vanilla finish. It is carbonated and served with the use of nitrogen gas, giving the Black Water a beautiful cascading pour and thick, creamy foam atop your glass. Made with only the freshest American malts and English hops.

Growler. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong roasted malt, chocolate, wood. Medium mouth feel, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, light vanilla, good.

On tap at the Brewery. Pour is deep brown with a big khaki colored head and great lacing. Roasty, cocoa, graham crackers, marshmallow, some caramel and brown sugar in the aroma. Taste is cocoa, coffee, somewhat earthy, lightly grassy, brown sugar, light cinnamon and bread. Medium body with medium carbonation. Solid stout, but could use some more body.

On tap at the Brewery/Brewpub -- This was the best of the flight. Great aroma, flavor and body. Fits the Oatmeal Stout category perfectly.

On tap at brewpub. A ruby reddish black with a short lived white head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roast. Flavor is roast, coffee. Finish is dry, coffee bitterness. Light body, watery mouthfeel, average carbonation. Flavorful, but lacking in body and complexity.

Part of a flight at the taproom. Notes just say surprisingly sweet without being cloying. Not crazy about nitro beers usually, but this one was very pleasant.

Growler brought back from the brewery .... Pitch black pour a little oily with a small khaki to tan creamy head ... aroma is of dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and caramel malts .... taste is of roasted malts, dark chocolate, light smoke, vanilla (kind of comes off with light lactose), caramel malts and light coffee ... finish is dry and sweet .... mouthfeel is oily and slick .... really nice solid oatmeal stout

On tap at Town Hall. Pours a very dark brown with light passing as crimson when backlit. Aroma is mild and sweet chocolate malt, caramel and oak. Flavor is same with slight off flavor I’ve tasted in home brews. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, bittersweet finish.
