This new seasonal, on tap at the brewpub was phenominal. Extremely well balanced. Aroma is coffee that is not overpowering with sublte notes of chocolate, vanilla and roasted malts. Appearance is black with brown glow to it in the light. Head is light brown/tan that stays. Flavor is coffee but yet not overpowering again. It had a small sweet taste to it along with flavors of roasted malts and small hints of vanilla, chocolate and wheat. Palate was extremely smooth, was thicker than average which was perfect for the complexity of the brew. I liked this so much, I bought a growler of it.

On tap at Town Hall. It was dark outside, but the beer appeared to be a dark brown color with a slight tan head. Aroma...you would think you had just brewed yourself a cup of espresso. Flavor is somewhat bitter and dry, consistent with the coffee aroma. Finishes with a faint tartness. Again, coffee floods the senses, with some roasted malts and caramel. A bit on the thin side, but very drinkable...if you’re a fan of coffee.

Dark brown with a reddish tinge. Aroma is slight coffee with a lot of sweet carmel. Very little coffee on the pallate, almost couldnt detect any. Lots of sweetness from all that caramel malt they piled in here. Funny how pallates differ, other reveiwers say this has a lot of coffee, but for a guy who lives for beers like DOAB and Coffee Bender, this doenst hold a candle to that, or other Town Hall coffee brews.

On tap. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is strong coffee with a bit of caramel. Flavor is sweet with a big coffee bite at the end.

[Tap] Pours a really nice clear mahogany with a finger of beige head. Aroma is fresh coffee beans, lots of caramel, a little bit of earthy, nutty aroma, and maybe a touch of hops. Flavor is fantastic. Probably the best coffee beer I’ve had so far. The coffee melds great with the caramel and earthy maltiness and the mouthfeel is absolutely velvety smooth. I wasn’t expecting too much from this beer but was very pleasantly surprised.
