Pours a nice rich orange color with an unbelievably perfect head. Two fingers at the start that fell to one for the rest of the beer and laced all the way down. Very smooth flavor, full of citrus. So much so it reminded me a lot of orange juice. The texture was outstanding, very creamy and smooth on the tongue. This beer is one of the best I have ever had. Truly amazing. kosko20 (73), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Aug 3, 2008 Take the Masala Mama and give it better aroma and a smoother, creamer mouthfeel. I’ve wanted to try this for years and I was not let down in the least. This beer singlehandedly prevented me from sampling the array of delights that Town Hall undoubtedly had to offer. It was too damn good for me order anything else despite three straight nights visiting the brewery. It pours rich and a cloudy, a soupy golden brown, a lovely soft head emitting an aroma of peach, grapefruit, passionfruit (?) that just makes one long to dive in rather than analyze. Splendid flavor, not overbearing with hop-bitterness in least and yet utterly driven by delicious hops. Malts totally in the background but apparently substantial enough to back this marvel up. Some gin in the flavor as well as all of that fruit. What can I say? It was a beer-hunting delight. Spendid beer. crowderm (154), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Mar 29, 2008 Wow, tons of tropical fruit in the aroma. Even more pronounced without the distinct hop aroma to hide it. The appearance is very nice - same color, but with a fluffier head than the regular IPA. The flavor Is solid, with a decent amount of hops up front, fading into a very sweet tropical fruit smoothy sort of flavor. The palate is perhaps a bit thicker and oilier than the regular IPA, and is a bit lacking in carbonation. Overall more fruit, less hops, and slight worse than the standard Town Hall IPA, but still an excellent beer. beoir (51), st paul, Minnesota, USA Mar 28, 2008 on tap at town hall. cloudy golden pour, thick creamy head. sweet hopy aroma. rich creamy mouth feel. nicley ballanced hops and sweetness. subtle grapefruit finish. really nice beer.
