This American Pale Ale was brewed about two years ago as part of our "single hops" beer series. We decided to bring it back due to its popularity to celebrate our 100th brew for 2005. Generously hopped with five additions of Centennial hops grown in the Pacific Northwest and a small addition of caramelized malt resulted in an American Pale Ale both light in color and body but loaded with thirst quenching citrus flavor.

On cask. Poured a nice slightly hazy, golden color with a beautiful head that only cask can deliver. Smell was citrusy and piney, with a soft biscuit note hidden in there too; even though the smell wasn’t real strong, it was still very nice. Taste is certainly hoppy, but there is an almost perfectly balanced malt backbone to it. Hints of sweet malt hidden behind a generous amount of hops in just the way Town Hall knows how to do it. Low carbonation levels and a medium body make the mouthfeel almost creamy smooth. Just amazing drinkability, I wanted to sit and drink this all day, but sadly I didn’t have enough time. Make a point to try this one when it’s available.

10oz pour while waiting for Czar Jack growlers. Clear golden pour, very little head, very little lacing. Aroma is all about the hops. Pretty standard aroma, can tell its Centennial for sure! Also a bit a sweet caramel malt. Flavor is much the same. A very solid, easy drinking pale ale, with nice hop highlights without edging into the IPA land.

light amber in color, slightly cloudy with average head and good lacing. aroma was very hoppy with grassy floral notes. texture had some zing to it and taste had some grapefruit. nicely done.

Light orange and mostly clear. Sharp pine needles woven into a biscuity, bready and buttery malt with a hint of peach. Tranquilizer for the tongue and I am exhaling sweat bready malt. Very well done.

this is a tasty and unique pale ale. sweet, flowery aroma. poured an amber-yellow with little head. this beer is hops... hops... hops. it gets the centennial hops point accross. it is very to-the-point. a bit sharp, and dry... thin mouthfeel. this beer is focused, well crafted and simple. very poundable. easy to appreciate.

Served with a large head that soon diminished. Aromas of citrus and hops. Hazy amber with good lacing. Falvors of citrus and hops with long duration, moderate to heavy hops flavor, creamy texture, light to medium body. This is a very good beer!
