3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Town Hall Brewery (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Aroma: Cherries, chocolate, molasses, caramel, some licorice.
Appearance: Dark brown/black (maybe a sort of maroon hue to it) with a small off-white head.
Taste: Sweet, and slightly tart. The cherries contribute more to a sweetness than a tartness.
Palate: Medium bodied, thin texture, with an average carbonation.
I think that this is the third fruit+chocolate combination that I’ve had from THB, and, as with all of them, this one makes for a terrific dessert. I’m surprised that the THB specials aren’t more popular.
