On tap September 28, 2013 at ABR. Reddish brown pour. Cherry and caramel in aroma and taste. After this and the Central Waters Bourbon Scotch recently, I am coming around to this style.

Had at Autumn Brew Review 2013, great dark cherry aroma, taste similar with some caramel and great malt. Probably one of my favorites of the fest.

Smells sweet and tart with strong cherry and medium caramel notes. Pours a hazy, dark brown red color. Tastes sweet, medium tart, and lightly bitter on the finish. Flavors of cherry, caramel, barley, light booze, and light hopping,

Pour on tap at Winterfest 2012, pour was dark brownish slightly redy, thin off white head. Aroma brought notes of big cherry, earth notes, slight smoke and hints of deep toffee and caramel, a bit heavy on the cherry. Taste is nicely balanced, with rich cherry mixing with some nice caramel and toffee, hints of slight cocoa, some slightly tart notes as well. Pretty nice stuff.

Winterfest 2012 - holy tart cherry Batman! The tart cherries complemented tr sweetness of the wee heavy really well, really strong in both the nose and taste. Very nice to sip!

Tap @ Winterfest 2012. Clear medium red pour, some carbonation and a nice sweet cherry aroma. Flavor is also strong and slightly sweet effervescent cherry, malt and not much else. Pretty damn tasty, clean in flavor, but not incredibly complex.

I would call this a fruit beer, because the cherry is so prominent. Big cherry aroma. Flavor has sweet malt and lots of cherry, with some earth. Excellent.

Minnesota Winterfest 2012. Dark brown color with a large head. Light dried cherry aroma. Very, very strong cherry flavor. Quite sweet with a bit of sourness. Caramel and malt.
