3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour on tap at Winterfest 2012, pour was clear yellow with nice white head, aroma brought notes of some sweet biscuit, touch of grass and spice notes, hints of slight sugary notes as well. Taste was a mix of sweet biscuit with a touch of grass, slight spice and bready yeast notes, but pretty clean flavors with no sign of the ABV.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Town Hall, advertised as ’Motueka Double Lager’. Pours clear yellow/gold, thin white head, ropey lacing. Nose is honey, stonefruit, bananas, lemon, candy, some really ovverripe fruit as well. Flavours of tropical fruit, sweet wort-like maltiness, very sweet, lots of fruit. Complex, but not something I’d want more than one glass of.

Tap. Clear dark yellow pour, slightly sweet malty aroma. Flavor is rich and slightly sweet pear, cane sugar and slightly floral. Very enjoyable and no hint of the 8.5% ABV.

Winterfest, 2012. Gold color and well carbonated. Very well hopped for a lager, lightly spiced, and this hop, that I am not familiar with, gives a citrus quality. A good beer.
