3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BVery (4248) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - NOV 2, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Clear rich yellow pour with a white head. Big honey and floral nose. Palate is a bit syrupy. Full bodied for a light colored beer. Nice.

Tap. Pours hazy amber with a small white head and minimal lacing. Aroma is honey, clove, tobacco, nutmeg. Flavor is the same, cloyingly sweet with no bitterness and clove persisting into the finish. Light bodied with a warming finish, but the high ABV was otherwise well masked behind the sweetness. Not a fan.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bacterial (410) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Golden pour on draft at Town Hall - honey and a little floral in the nose. The beer masks its alcohol well, honey and some nice bitterness. Nice to try but I don’t love it.

In short: An blonde ale with excessive amount of honey. Tastes like a lame mead. Meh.
How: Fresh growler. Xmas party with friends. Sent to me by oakbluff, thanks Scott
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is full of honey and strong garden flowers notes. Very girly aromatic. Taste is honey, sweet apples, sweet pears. Basically this tastes like a mead, a lame mead, or maybe a cider, a very lame cider. Somewhat interesting because it is different, but not something I want to drink again. A growler of this was just too much. But I never throw away beer, and I have learned that alcohol can be a very effective solvent. It’s capacity to dissolve relationships and finances is unparalleled.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 NobleSquirrel (3286) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Draft at Town Hall. Pours a clear gold with a dissipating head. Nose is big and fruity. Fruity alcohol notes, estery. Fresh honey notes and booze. The nose is kind of candied and cloying. On taste, alcohol is the feature. It’s essentially a braggot, but not well structured and lacking finesse. Not a fan of this one as it really lacks life.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2011
A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light spiced malts, like an herbaceous Denis Nectar. In mouth, a sweetish malt with ginger, apples, a bit boring. Tasted Dec. 18 2010. Thanks Dany.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MJGG (852) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 19, 2010
Growler. Merci Dany !
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CLevar (373) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2010
From a growler. Pours a almost syrupy golden straw, clear. White diminishing head, good skim and lacing. Aroma is very floral and sweet. The honey is very obvious. Flavor emphasizes the honey...lots of floral, some vanilla, some grass/straw. No bitterness. Finishes sweet. Syrupy on the tongue, carbonation makes it bearable. Alcohol is well hidden. Too sweet for my taste. If it were me, I would have added a good blast of bittering hops to back up the sweetness and flavors delivered by the honey. A decent beer, but I am very glad that I had many people to drink this growler with...one small glass was enough for me.
